∆ BOUTIQUE ∆

“Is this the reason why you told me to rush over here?” Joanna asked as she and Francis stood in front of a well known boutique.

“Yup, the freshmen party is tonight and you’ve got to captivate people’s attention before getting Pierce” Francis replied.

“I don’t want to” she said turning to leave but Francis pulled her by the hand.

“You aren’t doing this for me but for yourself and besides you made a promise to always listen to every thing I say” Francis tugging at her arm while he pulled her into the boutique.

“Welcome! You are right on time cause we’ve got the best collection for your girlfriend” The cheerful attendant who came to them said.

“Am not his girlfriend” Joanna said pulling her hand out of his while he echoed her sentence.

“She’s not my type” he added getting a glare from Joanna.

“Am sorry for jumping to conclusion” the attendant apologised.

“It’s okay. Just take us to the latest collection like you’ve mentioned earlier” Francis said as the attendant did as he said.

A while later Joanna stood beside him while he went throu-ghsome clothes.

“This will suit you” he said putting a skimpy gown in front of her and her reply was to take it from him and put it back on the rack.

“Am not wearing that!” She said on seeing the frown on his face.

“But it’s perfect, it will put you on the spotlight tonight and…..”

“I don’t want to be on the spotlight, I only want Pierce to notice me. This is more to my taste” she said moving towards a baggy trouser which was topped with a black crop top.

“Don’t you know the law about showing a bit of flesh?” Francis asked as he came to stand behind her.

“What law?”

“Showing a bit of flesh will entice the opposite se-x and will also make you feel good about yourself. Hiding your body underneath these horrid clothes will make you a spinster for the rest of your life” Francis said.

“So showing a bit of flesh will get Pierce to notice me right?” She asked with enthusiasm in her voice.

“Yes ” Francis replied eagerly.

“No! I won’t be wearing those skimpy things not even for Pierce” she said earning a frown from Francis.

“Am sorry to interrupt but I couldn’t help but to overhear your conversation and I think I have a lovely dress which will suit her perfectly,not skimpy, a little flesh showing and it will certainly get the opposite se-x drooling” the attendant said which got Joanna agreeing to before Francis could refuse.

Francis was in the waiting room going throu-ghsome magazine while waiting for Joanna to come out in the spectacular dress the attendant had called it when he got a call.

“Hello Nico and before you start bombarding me with questions, am quite busy and ……” He stop talking when the curtain pulled apart to reveal a se-xy looking Joanna.

She was dressed in a black knee length gown which clung lovingly on her figure accentuating well pert br**st and shapely a-ss.

“What do you think?” She asked doing a twirl for him and Francis gaze couldn’t help but to trail to her a-ss.

He found himself wondering how it would feel to touch and caress and mould that body into his and ……get a grip man! He reprimanded.

Forcing a smile on his face, he nodded at her.

“Perfect for the freshman party ” he said before quickly turning his gaze to the attendant.

“Can you find more of this for her and also get me some good jeans and top which aren’t loose but clung lovingly on her body” he said and the attendant left to get the clothe he asked for.

“We only came here to buy a dress for the freshman party and not to change my whole wardrobe” she said.

“If Pierce insist on doing this for you, will you refuse?” He asked while she thought about his question for a moment.

“I wouldn’t” she replied.

“Then think of me as Pierce ” He said getting off the chair as he dialled Nicholas number again ignoring her.

A while later they could be seen leaving the boutique and While Francis walk ahead of Joanna busy with his phone, Joanna walk behind him carrying ten bags which contain the things they bought.

“Do we still have some where else to go?” She asked.

“Yes” Francis replied opening the back door so she could put the bags in seat.

“Where?”

“To get rid of that glas-sand also to make your face look like that of a human” Francis said and before she could refuse him again, he got into the car horning for her to get in which she did.

∆ FRESHMEN PARTY ∆

“Where the hell is she?” Francis muttered starring at his watch.

“Who? Are you waiting for someone?” Nicholas who had heard him ask.

“Possibly” Francis said nonchalantly.

“Probably Evelyn” Theo commented.

“I thought he ended things with her” Nicholas said.

“Francis isn’t one to end things with girls who keeps offering themselves to him” Theo replied as they both stare at Francis who smiled at them.

“She keeps coming back and though am a bit lonely now, I can do with drilling her hole” Francis replied earning a nau-ghty look from his friends.

“And just so you know, she’s coming and will be bringing some girls along for you both” Francis added.

“For us both? Why isn’t Pierce amongst?” Nicholas asked.

“That’s because Pierce already has someone” Francis replied.

“And could that someone be Joanna, the school loser as everyone refer her as?” Nicholas asked.

“How on earth did you know that?” Francis ask.

“Well I overheard her talking with her friend yesterday and……” Nicholas stopped talking when every where grew silent at the entrance of someone.

Everyone gaze went to Joanna who was dazzling with her new make over.

Her curly hair was straighten out, gone was her large glas-sto be replaced with a contact lens and get face which was void of make up always looks enchanting with one and the black dress from earlier knocked every other girl out in the room.

Some people recognize her as the crazy Joanna in Business department while some thought of her as a diva.

“Who the hell is that babe?” Theo asked starring non stop at Joanna who now made her way to the bar counter.

“Pierce Future babe” Francis replied with a smile as he made his way to Joanna leaving his friends shocked.

Joanna sat alone feeling a bit shy at being the centre of attraction.

“And where the hell is that jerk?” She muttered pulling out her phone to call Francis who soon appeared by her side.

“Right here” Francis said startling her.

“Is this the reason why you wanted me to come alone? So I be the centre of attraction?” Joanna asked as other students kept starring at them.

“Your arrival isn’t what is making you the centre of attraction but it’s this lovely a-ssets you’ve been hiding under those horrid clothes. If you weren’t into Pierce I would have tried to make you mine” Francis said truthfully while Joanna stared at him with disgust.

“Where is Pierce?” She asked.

“Probably out door being by himself as always but don’t worry, he will surely be back to see how beautiful and different you look” Francis said just as Theo and Nicholas approached them.

“Were you the same girl I saw yesterday at the restaurant?” Nicholas asked.

“Oh! You mean when you tripped my friend? Yes it’s me” Joanna replied haughtily which got Theo laughing.

“She’s got some spirit in her, I am Theo by the way” he said putting fourth his hand for a hand shake which she took.

“I know you, anyone who studies in Royal college will surely know a playboy like you” she said earning another laugh from Theo again.

“Well am not always a playboy and if you get to know me properly you will surely like me” Theo said.

” I suggest you tell that to the girls who drool over you” Joanna replied hoping they would leave so she can talk to Francis about Pierce.

“Well then since you’ve taken some fancy in her, why don’t you both dance it off ” Francis offered which got her looking at him.

“It’s all for Pierce to notice you” He murmured to her as Theo steered her to the dancefloor before she could refuse.

“Do you think you will be able to help her win Pierce heart?” Nicholas asked as he stood beside Francis.

“Am not sure but I have to, if not I will end up suffering for it” He replied thinking about the marriage plan.

“What do you mean?” Nicholas asked.

“You won’t understand and where on earth is Pierce?” Francis muttered pulling out his phone to call him.

∆ JOANNA’S FAMILY HOME ∆

Jennifer walk into the house and went straight to the sofa to lie down.

“Your back?” George said as he went to give her a kis-s.

“The freshman party is being hosted in a club and with the way she’s dressed, I can’t help but to feel a bit on edge” Jennifer said remembering the loud noise blaring from inside the club when she drove Joanna there.

“It’s just a party and we attended few when we were her age. Let’s just trust Joanna, she is a strong girl and will be able to protect herself” George said.

“Am less worried about that but am worried about the kis-s she shared with the wrong guy. She told me that she’s getting help from him just so she can win the heart of the guy she loves but them being close is bad” Jennifer said.

“Isn’t it the time when the feeling within them start burning with pa-ssion ?” George asked his wife.

“It’s called being attracted to each other, the theory of attraction” Jennifer said.

“So Joanna and this kis-s guy will be attracted to each other?” George asked which got Jennifer nodding.

“Peter was attracted to me which led to numerous fight between you two, old age must be troubling you” Jennifer said to her husband who gave her a co-cky grin in return.

“Peter feelings turned into obsession when I couldn’t reciprocate the feeling, I just hope it wouldn’t be the same with Joanna” Jennifer muttered the last part to herself.
