Athena's pov

When Sunday gets here I hardly look forward to meeting with Rome's friends. Particularly, Fiona. I like her, but I did ghost her after she had asked me to meet her. After meeting with Mason, i felt too drained for any social meet up. She must probably be hating me. And Senna, ugg!

The weather, on the other hand, does not look good, and hope it will rain later in the night when I am tucked inside my bed. Rain offers some relief that my baby Aloe Vera will at least be watered. I highly doubt that Rome even waters it, and I am not ready to go into his room again and do it.

"Stop staring at me," Rome says and I quickly turn my eyes back to the road.

I thought that things will go back to normal when we start to get along and stop kissing but it is not the case, my body stirs inside when I am near him. While he seems composed like none of those things happened.

My phone starts to ring again, I had earlier ignored it and I ignore it again. It is my mother, she has been calling me throughout the week. And her persistence tells me that Mason may have talked to her. He has also been bugging me to just end the agreement and go back home. I don't currently know what i want but i do want to see what i am capable of on my own.

I can't understand his sudden change of attitude. And I try not to think of if I want to go back. Yes, I do miss him and sometimes the life I was accustomed to, it was routine and I knew how my day started and ended. While here I don't know what to do. I have less to do and a lot to think about.

When I look up again we are already at the park. I step out before Rome gets the chance to open the door for me. His friends walk towards us and I am surprised to see Lia with Fiona. I didn't know she would be here, otherwise, I would have someone to look forward to.

"What are you doing here?" My tongue slips.

Lia smiles, "Fiona invited me."

"That's nice," I say as I swallow a lump feeling left out.

Rome greets them moving next to his male friends and I scan around relieved that Senna is missing today. However, my quick relief is shattered when I spot her walking towards us. Surprisingly she is dressed too simple for her attitude, a T-shirt and blue skinny jeans.

She stops where Rome is and acts all giddy giggling at the conversation they are having. When done she steers in our direction.

"Athena, right?" She pretends not to recall my name and in return, I don't bother answering her. "Rome has just told me how he enjoyed the food I brought over. I have more with me, remind me at the end of the day." She carries forth.

I look over at Rome, his eyes are on us. He never tasted whatever she brought. He must have said it just to please her. I am disappointed that I am not the only one he is nice too.

A wicked smile creeps on my lips, "I will make sure to remind you." I say my eyes glaring at him, since he wants to act all nice i will not cook for that week and will just serve him whatever disaster she has prepared. There isn't a name that fits whatever nonsense she packed. Was it a meal or dessert?

She seems pleased with herself and we remain silent as she heads back where the guys are at.

"What was that and why did you blow me up the other day.?" Fiona asks.

I explain to her Senna's unexpected visit. "That snake, watch out for her." Fiona states and we start following the men who are carrying a lot of stuff and i have to wonder what they have planned for today.

I take slow steps as Lia and Fiona converse. She is telling him about Noah and Remy. Noah can't take his eyes off Fiona i wish she would overlook his height and give him a chance. I don't know him well but he seems genuine.

The boys divided into two one Noah and Rome. Rome is quick to claim me into his team while Noah obviously chooses Fiona. I am disappointed when Rome chooses Remy to his team and Lia ends up on Noah's now i will be playing against two of my friends. Senna becomes the referee.

We start with soccer Remy is our goal keeper and Lia is the other teams' goal keeper. I regret being the this team immediately when Noah scores the first goal. Rome sucks! It is evident he was a nerd back in school. By the end of the first game Noah's team has scored five and we are at nil and awful words exchanged between me and Rome who can't pass the ball to me and when i do pass to him he is easily tackled by Fiona.

"Next time you feel the urge to pick me on your team, please just go hang on the trees with the monkeys." I snap at Rome when he attempts to talk to me.

"Relax guys. It is over. You lost, we won with only five goals, but who is counting?" Fiona smears their win on my face.

I stick my tongue out, it looks childish but feels utterly satisfying.

"What do you drink, Athena?" Remmy asks.

"Any juice is okay."

"Juice? Are you nine, i meant alcohol, i even have a blunt if that is your preference."

"Is that a wine brand?" I decide to play dumb just to rile him up. It is relaxing being around them.

"This dry cider is perfect for you and cold too." Remy opens a bottle for me.

I drink, but I prefer to do so alone and at home where I can sleep afterwards because it makes me too horny. Mason is unaware that I drink; he regards it as unwomanly. He still reminds me that I wasn't a virgin when we met, and that if I drink on top of that, I'm trash.

I take the drink from his hand and take a sip. Remy continues to distribute the drinks to the rest. I catch Rome staring at me.

"What?" I bark at him.

"I thought you said you don't drink?" He says.

"Today is an exception." I give him a friendly smile.

"Shit! look who is here." Fiona says and we all turn to look.
