“Doctor, are you sure of what you are saying? How can Ada be pregnant?”. Adedeji asked his doctor again immediately the doctor broke the news to him.

The doctor gave him the report.

“Why are you surprised?”. Elizabeth Ajayi walked into their midst, smiling mischievously. She switched on a widget and chief Adedeji and Ufeoma’s voice could be heard.

(Voices)

“Have you heard of Trakra alcohol?”.

“No. What does it do?”.

“It is an alcohol for only men. If women take it, it will block their womb completely. Because of this, there is extra measures that is always considered before it is sold out. It helps male wrestlers completely numb about pain”.

“So, why is it important right now?”.

“We will inform your spy maid to put it in Ada’s food tonight”.

They gasped immediately the voice record ended.

Ada snatched the widget from Elizabeth Ajayi and replayed the voice record again. “Takra alcohol in my food???”. She asked bitterly.

“Fred Bakare had exchanged the food that morning that chief Adedeji had insisted on giving you that food without the knowledge of the instructed maid. That was why you were able to get pregnant . If you had taken the poisoned alcohol, it would have blocked your womb for life”. Elizabeth Ajayi explained.

Ada fell on her knees and sobbed uncontrollably.

Bayo fumed at his father. “I disown you completely as my father”.

“I had to win the election!!!”. Chief Adedeji cried out.

“But you didn’t still win even after all your desperations”. Dorcas said bitterly.

Ada rushed into the room and returned with her luggage. “Goodbye everyone”.

Bayo rushed to her. “I am coming with you Ada”.

“Coming with who? Me? I don’t want a son of a beast in my life! I will take care of my child! To hell with the bastard Adedejis! Before I die in your arms, I will go far away and live my life! Goodbye!!!”. She walked out of the house and Elizabeth followed her from behind.

Mrs Adedeji returned with her luggages from her room. “Even your grandchild in Ada’s womb right now will never forgive you. You are despicable”. She said sadly. “I am leaving you for good”.

“I am coming with you mother”. Dorcas rushed to pack her luggages and followed her mother out of the house.

Chief Adedeji turned to Bayo with tears in his eyes. “Will you leave me too like your mum and sister just did?”

“I am officially resigning as CEO of your company to continue with my dreams as a pilot. I will continue with my pilot life. Handle your company alone father. It never gave me joy working in a company in the first place”. He walked to get his luggages from his room.

“Your wife has left you just like my wife left me. She will never accept you”. Chief Adedeji advised his son.

“There is a tracking device in my wife’s car. I will never sit and watch her leave me. She is angry but she loves me and I will comfort her with my love all the days of my life”.

Chief Adedeji sobbed. “I regret the fact that I am just discovering that family is more important than any possession in life. I feel so empty now that the house is empty”.

“Take care of yourself father”.

“Someday my future grandson will look for me and groom the company on your behalf”.

“My future son has his decision to make and I am making mine right now according to the holy bible… ‘for a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to his wife. I should have made that decision before the near damage. Most rich people like myself make this mistake. But for the true understanding of marriage, the right decision of any married man is not to live with his parents no matter how big the house may seem. Goodbye father” he walked away.
