She opened her eyes and watched him closely as he slept soundly on the bed. They had made love for the first time since their marriage last night.

He opened his eyes and stared back at her as if her gaze had pushed him out of his dreamland. “Are you okay, Ada?”.

“Can we talk?”.

He sat up on the bed and rubbed his sleepy eyes.”Are you pregnant already?”

She stifled laughter. “Why can’t you be serious for once?”.

“Okay, talk to me then”.

“Can we leave this house?”.

“Why?are my parents giving you a hard time?”.

“Not really but I want to enjoy my marriage with you”.

“Talk to me. What is happening?”.

Her phone rang. She connected the line. It was her mother in law. “Hello ma?”.

“Sorry I am calling you so late at night, I just wanted you to know that you are making breakfast for the whole family tomorrow”.

She made pancake and tea for the full family the next morning.

The big family ate in silence until chief Adedeji broke the silence. “Someone sent me a mail this morning”. He paused to get their full attention before he continued. “The person asked me to give Ada a good position in the company”.

They all gasped at the information he just shared with them.

Ada was shocked to hear it. She knew Elizabeth would never say that.

“The person said that if I don’t give Ada a position in the company, that the person will expose all my secrets”.

Mrs Adedeji squinted thoughtfully.

“Father, were you able to trace the email address of the person?”.

“The person is anonymous”.

“If the person is threatening you until you give Ada a position in the company then it shows that Ada and the person is in agreement”. Dorcas snarled.

“You have no evidence about that!!!”. Bayo fired at her.

Ada knew that someone was trying to frame her.

Bayo was sorting out some files in the study room when one of the maids, Gloria walked in. Gloria was the most honest maid in the Adedeji mansion.

She sighed fearfully. “For one week now, anytime I arrange your wife’s wardrobe, I see strange objects everywhere! Look what I just found again!”. She gave him the sickle in her hand. “I have thrown so many tools away but I don’t think I can keep this to myself anymore”.

He collected the sickle from her and looked closely at the object. What will his wife be doing with such an object?

He rushed into the room and she was lying tiredly on the bed, her laptop was still left open.

Was all he was hearing true?

Was his wife a strange woman?

He opened her mail and gasped at the sight.

There was a message from Mr Adedeji.

It read… ‘Whomever you are, please stop threatening my life’.

If Adedeji was sending that message and it was entering his wife’s mail, it only mean’t one thing…

His wife was the one that sent that message to his father last night.
