Emma and I just had our dinner at her place. A week has already passed, wow, time really flies when you are with someone who you really love.

I sat on her couch and turned the TV on, she was in the kitchen cleaning.

We fell into that routine, where I will be the one cooking and she will be the one cleaning after.

It is a Friday night and no school tomorrow, which means I can stay up late with Emma. The weekends were the highlight of my week.

"Hey!" Emma sat beside me.

"I love it when you do that." Emma was staring at me while I have my fingers on the pendant of my necklace. The same necklace that she gave me on my birthday.

"Well, I love the person who gave this to me." Emma hugged me and peck me on the lips.

"Should we talk about college?" She said after pulling away.

"I guess." I turned off the TV and faced her with my legs in an Indian sit position.

"What courses do you plan to take?" Her face becomes serious.

"Hmmm... would you believe me if I tell you that, I dreamed to be a doctor?"

Emma's eyes wide opened, just the reaction I was expecting.

"You're kidding me?" She exclaimed.

I shook my head.

"Oh my god, Jen!" She grabbed my shoulders and hugged me but just a second and she pulled away.

"That is so great, Jen! Really, really great! Why didn't you tell your parents?"

"I don't know. I just, well, they would be surprised for sure. I mean, I never mentioned, not even once that I have an interest in learning medicine." It's true. I kept it for myself, tried to fight it, and even think of something related to business management instead.

"That is okay, babe. I'm sure they will be happy and glad. Imagine, they have a daughter who's a business owner, one that is a certified accountant, and then you, a doctor! Come on, let's tell them." Emma stood up so fast and pulled my hand.

"What? No. Sit down, Em." I pulled her back in.

"Why? I'm excited, are you not excited?" I could see the hype on her face and I tried to restrain the smile that is forming in my mouth.

"Em, I'm gonna tell them, okay?" It took a few seconds before she is comfortably seated.

"If I go to college to pursue medicine, I'll be going away, Em." I continued. " I have a few schools in mind already."

"And?" Emma's face doesn't hold any sadness of some sort. Is she understanding where I'm getting at?

"Em, It means I'm gonna leave you. I'm gonna move and we won't see each other every day. And do you know how busy it is to study medicine? After med school, I'll be an intern and then become a resident, it's another 5 to 6 years or more depending on if I pass or not." I explained to her.

"So you just don't want to be a doctor, you want to be a surgeon?"

"Umm, yeah."

"Okay, that is exceptional, Jen. Why do you look so worried?"

I shut my eyes close and have my hands pressing them even more. When I opened it, Emma's face was in wonderment.

"Emma! Don't you get it? I am moving away from you, and that was the thing holding me back!" I took her hands in mine and squeezed them, hoping that she understood this time what I was saying.

"Jen, I get it! You don't have to say it several times. You're moving away, you choose which school you want to go to, which state, and then we settle in."

"We?" My brows are furrowed, did I hear her right?

"What? You think I'm gonna hold you back to pursue your dreams?"

"What do you mean?" I am now super confused.

"Well, babe. I am the sales director of one of the largest groups in the country. I can choose which state I want to go to, we have offices all over the country, Washington, Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, New York..."

"I want to go to Columbia or NYU!" U cut her off when I heard her say, New York.

"It's settled then, we'll move to New York!"

Is this real? I don't have to move away from Emma? Is she really moving with me to New York? That means I would be able to see her every day, we can live together. Wait, will my parents approve of that? Well, I'm 18, so I don't need their permission. But knowing Emma, I know she would ask their permission still, and if they say no, she would respect that.

"Are you thinking if it was possible for us to move in together in New York?"

"Yeah, am I really that easy to read?" Emma laughed at that.

"Yes! It was written all over your face, babe." Then she continues.

"We'll ask your parents. But tell them first, they are dying to know what was your plan in college, you know that."

What did I say? We still have to ask my parents.

"I'll tell them tomorrow." I nodded at her.

To my surprise, Emma threw her body on me and it causes me to lay on my back on the couch with her on my top.

"You're gonna be a doctor, my girlfriend is gonna be a doctor!" Our face is just inches apart.

"Not just a doctor, a surgeon for crying out loud!" Even with the small distance between us, I could still see her eyes beaming with happiness. She looks so proud.

And I don't think I will ever get used to this, her body so close to mine, her hot breath on my face and those hazel eyes, all of it send a shiver down my spine, the tingling and the inkling I feel, the burning of my skin on her very touch.

Emma is already mine but all these feelings won't change. All the sensations she's bringing to me will never get old. The butterflies in my stomach, the nervousness I feel whenever we're in the same room, the fear I feel whenever she gets jealous though I think she was really cute at the same time even if I know I'll have her flying hands all over my body.

Those things, I will forever hold in my heart.

I cupped her face and admired her beauty before I closed our distance and envelope her sweet lips in mine.
