It is the weekend and from the morning, my Mom was very busy in the kitchen.

Emma came very early as well, how did I know it was early? Well, I was still sleeping when she came.

When I emerged in the kitchen she was there helping my Mom and... Murry.

Murry is here already.

"Hey, Sis." She walks towards me and kisses me on the cheek.

"Cool Girlfriend!" She whispered in my ear before pulling away.

I smiled at her awkwardly, I don't know why but maybe I was just a naturally awkward person.

Emma smiled at me sweetly.

"Happy Birthday, Babe." She greeted me.

That's bold.

Calling me babe in front of my family.

"Thank you! You know, you didn't have to help." I walk towards her and settled at her side, looking at what she was doing.

"I know, but I want to." She looked over to my Mom and Murry and smiled at them.

Anne came after an hour. My Mom said Dad would be here before 4 in the afternoon as he was caring for something at work. Even at weekends, he was very busy.

It is almost 3 in the afternoon now, my Mom is almost done in the kitchen while Emma stepped out to shower.

My Sisters and I were in the living room interrogating me.

"I didn't know you liked girls." It was Murry.

"Well, now you know." I answered her lazily. I had no excuse to get away from them, I already showered while they were busy in the kitchen. I have nowhere to go, Sam will come maybe at 5 pm, and Kate... Well, I'm hoping she won't come.

"You know, when Mom called me to tell me about your neighbor, I was really shocked. I know we're not that close and you were closer to Anne, I just hoped I heard it from you rather than Mom."

"Murry, I didn't even tell Anne. She figured it out by herself. And you know, when you guys moved out, we... lost touch. And I know you guys have your own lives and all, I guess I just didn't want to bother you both with my own."

Anne scooted over and side-hugged me.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Murry said.

"We're happy for you, though. I, am happy for you." She continued.

"Emma is super cool, funny too." It was Anne's turn. "I like her."

I smiled at both of them and utter my thanks.

"So, what do you plan on in college?" Murry was eyeing me, trying to read my mind, I guess.

"Umm, to be honest, nothing yet."

"How come?"

Anne scooted away and was just listening to us.

I looked at both of them, contemplating if I should tell them what was bothering me about college when Mom peeked out from the kitchen.

"Girls, can you help me for one moment, please."

Save by the bell.

"Honey, can I please invite your Aunt Lily? She lives nearby."

I never wanted to have any party for my birthday, I know it was my 18th birthday and for most people, it was very important. But I never like celebrating Mine.

I just gave it to my Mom when I agreed to some kind of reunion for our family, us and my two Sisters only. It was a good time to introduce Emma to them as well.
