My girl Neighbour - S01 E53

I was walking in our hallway still confused.

I emerge to our living room with all eyes on me.

My Mom, Anne and... Emma.

Emma is here, at my house!

Emma is in the living room! I heard Anne's voice in my head.

"Come here, Jen." My Mom called on me.

I felt like my feet were glued to the floor as I couldn't seem to move them.

"Jennifer!"

I looked at Emma who was obviously trying so hard not to laugh.

When I heard my Mom call me by my full name, I was startled and I know Emma saw it. I know because her eyes did not leave mine when I came into view.

Anne, on the other hand, couldn't contain herself and I could hear her giggling. I threw her a glare and it just made her giggle more.

I walk toward them. As I was approaching, food bags are on our coffee table, it was too much that some of them are already on the floor.

What the hell?

"Why do you always sleep until the afternoon whenever there's no school?" My Mom scolded me.

Doesn't she know we have company?

"Mom!"

Emma was now smiling. I think my face is so red from embarrassment.

Why parents are so embarrassing sometimes?

My Mom ignored that and spoke again.

"Emma brought all this food for us, prepare the table and let us have lunch together."

My Mom gestured for Emma to sit on our couch, but before that, she winked at me and smirked.

Is this her plan to talk to me? Shower us with foods?

And what time is it?

I looked at our wall clock, it was past twelve in the afternoon.

Anne took some of the bags and pull me to the kitchen.

"Your Girlfriend is so thoughtful, bringing food to her in-laws-to-be." I slapped Anne's arm and shush her.

"They might hear you!" I whispered to her.

Anne just laughed at that, she went to the living room to take the rest of the bags.

"And she's hot! I didn't notice it last night." She teased.

"Will you shut your face?" Only if I could squeeze her little head, I will.

We set the table with Anne still laughing at me. She knows that I was annoyed and it is fun for her.

Why is Emma here?

"Mom, the table is ready!" Anne yelled.

I could hear both their steps approaching us and it made the pounding in my chest become unstable.

I was so nervous that I think my heart will fall off my chest.

What is she doing here?

Three of them were seated while I just stood in front of them.

"What are you waiting for?" My Mom asked me in a scolding voice.

"Go sit with Emma, you're being rude standing there."

I open my mouth to say something but Emma signaled me not to, she shook her head and just eyed me and the chair beside her.

I followed her and sat.
