My girl Neighbour - S01 E49

"What?" I asked pretending not to know what she meant.

"Really? Are we doing this?" Before she starts the car, I saw Emma go out of the building, Anne's eyes flew to where mine went.

"Were you a couple?" My face turned to Anne almost immediately when I heard her question.

How is she good at this?

"W-What?"

"Well, given the staring contest earlier, she was definitely jealous when she saw us together especially when I held your hands."

She started the car like nothing. Like what she said was totally normal, that she already knows I like girls.

Wait, does she?

Even if we were very close, I never said anything or even indicated that I like girls. I was never comfortable talking about it with my family.

I was looking at her dumbfounded while she drives and she didn't even bother to throw me even just one look.

"S-She's our new neighbor." That is all I can muster.

"U-hmmm." Anne was still not looking at me.

My mind wanders back to Emma. The look on her face when she saw me with Anne, I know she was jealous and that made me a bit happy as it just mean she still care about me, I know she does.

But she looked sad, surprised, yes as she didn't expect to see me in the hallway as I was too.

She looked thin, just 2 weeks but she already lost weight. Is she not eating?

The car stopped in front of what it looks like a bowling center.

Anne climb down the car and gestured for me to follow her. She went straight to a window where I think she was paying for our entrance.

She handed me one ticket and we both go inside.

As soon as we were inside, I looked around. There are arcade games on the side where in the middle was the bowling alley, there is also a counter where you can buy your drink, I guess we're not drinking any alcoholic beverages tonight though.

Upstairs, you can hear the screaming of the gamers, booing and cheering each other. Most of them are laughing while drinking their beers.

The place looks so fun but I am feeling empty. How I wish I am with someone who...

"Hey!" Anne tapped my head.

"Ouch!"

"You're flying somewhere." I didn't notice that Anne already had a bowling ball in her hand and we are already in front of the bowling alley, we also have a table with our drinks on it.

She handed me the ball and gestured for me to play first.

I was half delivering the ball when Anne spoke.

"So, is she the reason for the tears and the horrible singing?"

And the ball went to the gutter.

My head did a sudden turn as soon as I let go of the ball.

"W-Wha..."

"Jen, don't even deny it, it is very obvious. I don't need to be a wizard to know it, Ok?"

She continued.

"And it's ok, you like girls, big deal!"

"Tell me, how did she hurt you? Do you want me to go over there and kick her ass? Coz I will do it, Jen."

I sighed in defeat.

I gestured for her to sit with me at the table.
