My girl Neighbour -S01 E16

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 16

It's been 10 minutes now since Kate left me in the park. My mind was telling me to go but my body says otherwise.

Kate always does that to me. Hugging me from behind and kiss my head. That is actually one of the things that I liked about her, she was so sweet and touchy to me. She didn't care if we were in a public place where there are a lot of people, she will hug or hold my hand whenever she feels like it.

Am I missing her? I questioned myself. And I was surprised that I couldn't answer that.

I don't want to think that everything has changed now just because of a hug and kiss I received from her. But I will admit to the fact that I got a little bit soft.

I looked around and the people started to leave the park as it's already getting dark, and I should too.

I stood up and made my way home, my mind was still occupied by Kate. All the things she said today keep replaying on my head, her eyes, how they looked at me when all of a sudden another pair of eyes appeared, those big hazel eyes that stared at me blankly, the tone of her voice when she bid goodbye.

It's already 07:30 in the evening when I reached my building, I wonder if Emma already had dinner.

In just a few seconds I found myself in front of Emma's door, I contemplated ringing the door bell but decided to just knock. I waited for about 15 seconds when the door opens and a non-smiling Emma was in front of me looking exceptionally beautiful in her shorts and pink tank top.

I tried to open my mouth and say something but nothing came out. I just stared at her like it was the first time I'm coming over to her place.

She left the door open for me and headed to the couch, she didn't say a word as well.

After sometime I heard her yell, "Are you just gonna stand there or are you coming inside?"

I didn't response to that and just close the door behind me, though I'm not sure if I should sit with her.

I pulled out the stool from the bar, placed it beside the couch and sat there.

Emma looked at me confused, she was eating chips and in the table there was 2 bottles of beer opened.

"What are you doing?" we both asked at the same time.

"What are you doing?" it was her who asked again.

"I am sitting, and hopefully I can watch this..." I put a finger on the TV. "Whatever movie is that, with you."

"I mean, what are you doing sitting there and not here?" she gestured the part of the couch on her side where I always sit.

Not knowing what to say, I just stared at her like we were in a staring contest.

"Well?" her eyebrows raised and I didn't wait for her to say anything else, I ditched the stool and sat beside her. Her hazel eyes followed me, as mine not leaving hers as well. When I remember the beers on the table.

"Are you drinking?"

"My sister dropped by, brought some dinner and beer." She turned her eyes on the TV not even bother to look at me again.

I laid my back on the couch and closed my eyes. I don't know how to talk to her to be honest. She seems to be not in the mood tonight, I wonder if it had something to do with her sister or with me seeing Kate. But I doubt the latter. Yeah, she must hate the idea of me seeing Kate after everything I told her but to be affected by that, naaah. Doubt it.

"Don't tell me you're tired?" I almost jump off the couch when I heard her speak.

"I didn't know that talking could be tiring now." She took the bottle and drank all of it.

Where did that came from? I was looking at her in disbelief while she busied herself flipping the channel.

Her face was emotionless and made it so hard to read her. Still finding the right words to say to her when she spoke again.

"I think you should go, you look tired and I am not in the mood to entertain you tonight." She still wasn't looking at me so she didn't see the pain crossed my face, the now familiar pinch in my chest is there again.

"Are you kicking me out?" My voice cracked as I tried to hide the pain I'm feeling right now. What did I do? Does my presence irritate her that much that she needs to kick me out of her place?

I fought hard to push the pain away and I'm not going anywhere, if she think that I would get intimidated by her, she's wrong.

"I don't care if you're not in the mood, I'm not going anywhere." I positioned myself to lie on her side, grabbed her arm and put it on top of me.

I pressed my eyes closed and prepared myself to a pissed Emma, I even prepared my body to a pinching and flying arms ready to slap all over me. But nothing like that happen. I peek my eye open just to see her looking down on me smiling. I open both of my eyes now and blink them few times.

"You look cute."

Did I hear her right? And was she really smiling? I sat up straight and cupped her face.

"So... you're in the mood now?" I was still holding her face when she put her hands on top of mine.

Gawdd, she's so beautiful. Her long eye lashes just compliment her beautiful hazel eyes, my gaze went to her lips and it was full and pink. It was parted slightly, so inviting that I leaned my face closer to hers.

I was about to kiss her and she knew it, I moved my gaze from her lips to her eyes and she seemed confuse but at the same time didn't say anything, it was like she was anticipating of what was about to happen.

My heart started beating so fast as I got closer to her, all the while holding her gaze. I was sure she could hear my heart beating.

When she tilted her head to the right and her eyes tend to my lips, I held my breath as I finally closed the distance between us, closing my eyes and pressing my lips on hers.

I felt her soft lips against mine, her hands moved down to my arm and mine moved up to the back of her neck, caressing it, putting a bit pressure, pressing our lips even closer, gently.

As our lips parted momentarily, she stifles a moan and it's like a music to my ear, felt the tingling sensation all over my body when I pressed my lips unto hers for the second time.

And how I wish, this moment won't last.
