A few weeks, later, Daniella fell sick and had to visit her doctor for proper medical checkups and diagnosis.

After running a general test on Daniella, her doctor returned to his office carrying her test result with a bright smile displaying on his lips.

Then sitting on his seat, he handed the test results to Daniella.

“Congratulations Mrs Igwe. Your test result states that you are two weeks pregnant” He announced handing the test result to Daniella who was completely dumbfounded and lost for words.

“Me? Pregnant? I mean how? When?” She asked in awe quickly taking the result from him.

With disbelief and shock, Daniella went through the test results and was immediately brought to tears.

“This” She paused trying so hard to control her tears. “Doctor, this is unbelievable. I can’t believe my eyes right now are you sure there is no mix-up somewhere?” She asked with tears streaming down her eyes.

“I understand how elated you are right now and how surreal this good news sounds to you. But the truth is, you have a baby growing in there” The doctor said pointing at her stomach.

“I can’t believe that I’m finally going to become a mother after all these years. Of a truth, this whole thing looks surreal to me and I think I will be needing a lot of time to take it all in” Daniella said with tears of joy.

“Take as much time as you need Mrs Igwe. Congratulations once again” The doctor said.

“Thank you, doctor. Thank you so much. I really can’t wait to tell this good news to my husband” She said quickly standing to her feet.

And with haste, she left the hospital and drove to her husband’s workplace.
