I was at work the following day when one of my colleagues came to tell me someone is looking for me outside, I was anxious to know who the person is because I was not expecting anyone…

I went out and guess who? You guessed right, it was Vicky… She saw me and was silent for a while, looking at me from my head to toe… I knocked her out of her thoughts when I said, Vicky how are you.

Oh sorry, I am fine… Damn you are looking so good and sophisticated. You are looking so different in just 6month she said.

Thanks Vicky, what are you doing here?

Is it a crime to come say hello to you? I was just somewhere close and decided to say hello… Seems like you didn’t go for operation today, and which lady is spending on you now? I know you Peter.. she said

I was surprised that she didn’t come to apologise but to mock me but thank God for coming through for me, because while she was still talking, my colleague came and said… “Excuse me sir, someone is at the reception looking for the boss, he said it’s urgent sir”

I was confused but I said okay and turned to Vicky whose mouth was wide open and I told her that, I have to go now, someone important is waiting for me. She tried to say something but nothing came out… I also looked at her from her head to her toe, shook my head and left…

I went inside and asked my colleague if her eye is paining her, and ask her why she called me the boss… She smiled and said she was passing by when she heard Vicky vomiting rubbi$h…I hugged her and told her thank you, this my colleague look like a man, when I hugged her it was as if I hugged a man…I went back to my station to continue with work, I left the office at 1pm because I needed to buy Akor’s lunch and take to him.

I went to Akor’s room to give him the lunch but saw him struggling for his life on his bed, I quickly called the neighbors and we rushed him to the hospital… He was taken to the emergency ward and I rushed to the cashier to get card.

I was sitting outside praying so hard for him to survive… I didn’t hear anything from them for like an hour before a nurse came and asked for his card I gave it to her and she asked me to pay a certain amount as deposit which I did…

Akor was later taken to the male ward but was in coma… I went home to change because I just came from work before I met him in that state. I went home but was so scared for Akor and was literally shivering. I had to rush back to the hospital but he was still in coma… I asked the doctor what was wrong with him but was told they didn’t find anything but I should be prayerful…

It was a very bad sight seeing Akor lying there motionless with some life support such as oxygen. I felt really bad because I never dreamt of seeing Akor this way…

Akor has been sick for the past 4 months, he refused to tell me what he did until 2month ago when he confided in me that he slept with a lady and from that day he has not being himself…According to him, he picked a lady up from the “wine bar” and brought her home… The lady was acting funny in the middle of the night and he gave her, her pay and ask her to leave but she laughed and immediately turned into a casket on his bed… He said he tried to run out but was blocked by the casket and he started begging and asking for mercy, the casket changed into a lady and slapped him then disappeared… I didn’t believe this story because it was hard to believe such story but from the look of things he might be saying the truth…

Akor was in coma for 5days… I was at his bedside operating my phone when I heard Peter, please I am so hungry, I need food. I jerked up and said hallelujah in excitement, I asked him how he was feeling and he said he’s better… I was so excited and I can said this was the happiest day of my life. I rushed out to call the nurse and then rushed out to get food…

While coming back I was praising the name of the Lord but suddenly I felt goosebumps all over my body and I stood for sometime before moving forward… I got to the ward and saw Akor’s brother that came to take care of him running out. I rushed to the his bedside and saw Akor lying motionless, I held the doctor’s shirt and ask him what’s going on and he told me, they did their best but couldn’t save him… “I am sorry your friend is dead”

I immediately stop feeling my legs and it felt like I went blind… I saw them preparing Akor for mortuary and my heart nearly jump out of my body because of so much pain, it took four nurses to hold me down, I cried my eyes out but Akor never came back… Akor was later taken to the village and buried and until this very day the pain of loosing Akor is still fresh and seem like it will never go away… If only tears can bring back my dear friend I will cry out a river… Oh my dear Akor, why did you leave me like this, your death has torn me apart. Rest in peace my friend I said to myself as tears roll down uncontrollably.
