“What are you calling off? Can anyone explain to me about what is happening here?” The old man asked us while we went mute.

“Are you all de*af?”.

“There is nothing wrong my husband”. My mum responded.

“What did you mean that there is nothing wrong. I am not a baby neither am I a kid. I am an adult, complete adult. I know when something is wrong or not and for the last time, what Happened? Why did Kemmy wants to call off her wedding?”.

“Dad, I am calling off my wedding” I responded while he shot me a bl00dy glare.

“What did you just said?”.

“I am calling it off dad because I can’t marry a rapist”.

“A rapist! Who is a rapist here?”.

“Dad, could you believe that Adebayo raped me” I blurted out while my dad countenance changed.

“Adebayo nngbo, you raped your fiancee . What happens to you telling her about your s….xual urges or romancing her before s her and I don’t think it’s your first time of sleeping with each other or what’s wrong here?”.

“Dad, I was a virgin all these while not until he disflowered me in the morning”.

“You mean you are a virgin. Adebayo you are a patient man, I salute man like you. You actually waited for a lady all these while…well, it’s for the best but that raping part is not good. I broke down into fresh tears while mum consoled me.

Mum told bayo to go home and come back some other time.

David pov

Ever since I shared that passionate kiss with Folakemi, it has been on my mind. I wanted more but I have to respect myself and her decision. That Adebayo is really enjoying himself, he is so lucky. I wished I had meet her earlier, she would have become mine.

My dad requested to see me today and I am leaving early.

I left my office and got into my car, I was driving at at an average speed when I noticed a blue car trailing me. I quickly step on the speed but it keep following me. I slowed down a bit to catch the glimpse of the driver when it came sideway with my car. The owner of the car rolled down the tinted car and it is no one than the dark girl.

I stopped my car while she also stopped her car and Alighted from it.

I walked up to her in fury.

“Why are you trailing me ? Did we have any business together?”.

“Yeah! We have a business together and it is an endless one at that, David! I missed you all these while, you closed your door Everytime I am in your home, I don’t want to sneak in like your previous home. I wants you”.

“Did you trailed me all the way from my office for this Stupid talk? You must be ma*d!

“I am not mad, you are the mad person here kissing another person’s fiancee. I know everything David, how you grabbed her waist and kissed her. How sweet of you, you must be a good kisser. I would have shot her dead at that instant because I don’t play with my man but decided to stop myself because I still need her” she responded.

Hearing of k!lling her, sprout an anger in me. I grabbed her neck and pushed her to her car while she slammed her back at it, she squeeze her face in pain while I stare into her eyes.

“I know that you bugged my home and keep monitoring me all around, I deliberately let you be in order to let you know how much I cherish that woman. I am not a nice man and I know how brûtal a person can be. I am giving you the last warning to stay off my business and nothing must happen to that woman because once she is gone, you and your entire family are gone. Jennifer! I knew your name from the start but keep behaving like a novice. Stay off me” I warned sternly and left her in pain while I drove off.

I got to my parents house and met alot of dishes prepared for me. I missed home food.

We all sit around the dinning table including mum and dad when someone came in.

It is no one than bidemi.

I loose my appetite in an instant, mum noticed my mood and do the talking.

“I invited her over for the lunch, we have started the preparations for your wedding and we wants you to know and I heard that the way you treated bidemi that day was bàd. You should start warming up to her, she is your wife to be now” mum replied.

“This is all a joke right! You planned my wedding without my knowledge, you are truly funny mum. I am not getting married for now and cancel whatever thing you are planning

Once I am ready for a wife or kid, I will all let you know” I responded sipping the water while bidemi sat down starring at me.

“Mum, can I see David privately?” She asked while I glanced at her.

“For what!

“You guys should go outside and know each other” dad interrupted.

We both went to the verandah of the house.

“David, I appreciate the fact that you accompanied me here. It showed that you have a soft spot for me in which I also like. Ever since you dropped me at the bus stop the last time we met, your love keep growing in my heart. Please, let’s make this wedding work. I love you alot, you may not love me which I truly understand but please marry me. I wants to be the mother of your kid, we will have cute kids together considering the fact that we are both cute. Let’s make this work please” she said and went on her kneel

“Bidemi, you are like a younger sister to me. We can’t have kids together if I don’t love you. If I marry you, I will only maltreat you because I have no feelings for you. I don’t want you to waste your time on me. There is only one person I have ever love in this world apart from my parents and she is currently not available. I will rather stay idle without a woman or marry her and perhaps if I later fall in love in the future, but for now. I am out of the way” I said leaving her behind while she burst into fresh tears.

I went to the dinning room to pick my phone when I saw my mum starring at the screen lock of my phone.

“Is that the woman you love?” She asked pointing at the picture on my screen.

“Yes, she is….but, not available for now”.

“If she is not available, you can go for bidemi and since your wedding is in two months time. You should know her better”.

“Mum, wether it’s in a week to come or tomorrow, I won’t appear for that wedding. I am an Adult for God sake and the decision I make is for me alone, don’t waste your money in preparing for anything. I never love that woman and I will never love her” I responded before walking out.
