“Will you leave Adebayo for MEEE?” He repeated the question while I keep shaking on the spot.

I was about to say “No” when my mother in law came in.

Adisa quickly maintain his composure.

“Ehmm…Folakemi, come and fetch me some water and bring it to my room” he instructed handling over the bucket to me while I stare at my mother in law.

“Why are you looking into my eyes? Can’t you collect it?” She shouted at me while I quickly collect it from the man and fetch the water.

I was lead into his room by my mother in law while I dropped it at the entrance of his bathroom.

“Now, follow me” she instructed while Adisa went into his room.

“Yeah, I told my son to let you see me. I know you are aware that we are coming to your place in the next few days. I want to give you few rules and regulations.

She continued…

“I know that you are acting all respectful now being that you are not yet married to my son…but let me warn you, if you tried to turn my son’s back to me, you will be dealth with. I don’t like you from the start, I just don’t know. My spirit don’t goes with you. How did you manage to steal my son’s heart? Did you seduce him? How did you do it?. You are not the most prettiest woman in this life and I don’t know what is wrong with his eyes…. Did you charmed him?”.

“Ma, I didnt do anything to your son. Your son genuinely Love’s me and I don’t think it’s a crime to go for what you love. I don’t know how else to please you but whatever thing you want me to do. I will kindly do it. I love your son too much, we have been together ever since then and we are not getting younger” I replied.

“I don’t trust your kind of person. I don’t think it is a natural way for my son to love you. Anyways, since you are here. I only wanted to warn you about my son. Don’t try anything Stu*pid when you guys later get married.

“Did you understand?” He asked.

“Yes ma’am”.

“That’s good. Ehn…that reminds me, what is that man discussing with you when you came in?”. She asked.

“He only asked about my name and age” I replied.

“Are you sure that is all?”.

“Yes ma’am”.

“Alright, I am hungry as I came in. Can you prepare me semo?”.

“Yes ma’am” I replied and went into the kitchen to prepare her meal.

I need to make it delicious because who knows if she will love me from there….

I later left in the afternoon exhausted.

I went back home and slumped on my bed.

The day for the brief meeting of the two families is here…..

Adebayo’s family came early while we entertained them in the living room.

My parents received the family wholeheartedly as each family introduce themselves to another.

Adebayo’s mum doesn’t look well that day, as she keep forcing a smile.

To cut the story short,

An introduction date was picked that day and it is in the next two months.

Adebayo’s family left while my mum hugged me.

“You have made us proud my daughter, you just did what I….and your dad was waiting for all these years. It is now the time to plan for your introduction party before the real wedding party. It won’t be long before you are going to leave our house. You will be in another world. Thanks for making us proud”my mum praised while i smile.

My family were so happy that night,

At least I am done with the first stage,

It remained the second and third stage.

I have moved to a new estate and sold off the house in the street. I can’t deal with the fact that someone will barge into my house unannounced.

I drive my car to the supermarket near the estate to get few groceries when I bumped into Christiana.

“Hi David” she greeted while I ignored her.

“I didn’t see you in the bar around your street. Are you that busy?”. She asked once again.

“I don’t know the time that you turned yourself to my parent, knowing when I went to a bar or not and what are you doing in this area?”.

“My elder sister live around this place and I came to get her few groceries. I don’t know that I can bumped into you here”.

“Are you aware that your crush introduction date was picked?” She asked all of a sudden while I paused halfway.

“What did you say?”. I asked.

“Her introduction date is in a month time and she will soon be another person’s wife. Aren’t you jeal*ous? Or won’t you fight for what you love?”.

“Why are you interested in what I want? What did YOU want from me?”. I asked her.

“You will know what I want from you later, what if you have your way with her?”.

“What did you mean?”.

“What if you get to sleep with her. I know what you want is under her skirt. I can do that for you, can we strike a deal?” she asked searching my eyes for an answer while I smile….

Is he going to accept this deal?
