That night after I killed both Summaiyah and Uthman, I decide to leave the brothel with my mom… I was so afraid that someone find out about what I did.. So In the morning, I took my mom and went to Frahan’s place, Luckily for us.. His father had a spare room for us to stay.. Frahan’s was sorry when he heard what happened to my mom.., He never questioned why we leave the brothel and so my dark secret was safe.

Since my mom wasn’t working at the brothel anymore, I decided to join Frahan’s family business which was blacksmith… Frahan’s father was glad to get an extra hand in his shop,.. He paid my my salary after ever job done, it wasn’t much but it was better than staying idle.

Though I was glad my mother was done working in that awful place and is safe from harms way. Things weren’t good for her.. Because of her head injury, She was beginning to lose her senses..

Every now and then, She’ll be singing and shouting saying all sorts of things.. And some of the things she said was very disturbing for me.. I did my best to keep her quiet, she wouldn’t, the only time she was quiet was either she’s exhausted or asleep.

Just when I thought this were bad enough, My mom started going out the streets of Marida laughing and shouting as she insulted the Sultan, accusing him of ruining her life.. Frahan and I would follow her and bring her back home locking her inside so she wouldn’t go out again. I was starting to get tired of this but there was nothing i could do besides.. My mom never asked for this.. That bastard Uthman did this to her..

So one night, after Frahan and I ate our evening meal, He asked me a very disturbing question.

Frahan Hey… Sadiq…

Sadiq Yes Frahan, What is it?

Frahan I heard your mother shouting the other day, that you’re a prince that the Sultan is your father? Is it true..

Sadiq No.. Its not true… If I were a prince I wouldn’t be in this condition.

Frahan But the things she said.. It’s like she was once lived in the palace..

Sadiq (sighs) Yes.. She was once a concubine in the palace for some reason, she was kicked out of the palace..

Frahan So what’s the reason? Why was she kicked out?

Sadiq I don’t know.. She hasn’t told me.. Is that all?

Frahan Yes.. Sorry for asking.. I was just curious.
