The sun sets on the city of Marida .. Heat descends on the people of Marida.. The Most of the people are sweaty and tired from the work they do, some are hungry while some are thirsty.. There wasn’t much activity going on, There was little movement on the streets, Men, women and children remain quiet in their homes to take shelter and avoid the burning sun… Everyone opens the doors and windows of the houses to get some fresh breeze and air, those That are less fortunate don’t have homes to go to… seek shelter in the shades of people’s house or shops…While those who are very or much more fortunate lime the rich, get more than enough shade.

Not only do they enjoy the shades in their magnificent houses, but they also make their slaves to fan them.

Among those that enjoy treatments like this is Al-Mukhtar.. A very wealthy merchant.. And also an arrogant b*stard… He owns most of the trading caravans in Marida, he also has ships far outside the city of Marida close to the sea that sells and buys goods from overseas. Transporting export goods from the sea to the city takes at least 3 days on a camel ride.

He gets a very huge amount of profit from his business… Like the rest of his kind… He does like to share his wealth with the poor except with those who are as influential and rich as him.

In his own twisted ideology, he believes nothing is gained giving money to the poor, to him, its like a curse… He prefers to give to his own kind because they might also give him something in return.

Here in his house.. He sits on an expensive sofa made with tiger skin… He relaxes comfortably stretching himself as his slaves massage his feet and fan him.. On his side are his concubines… They’re young girls who are old enough to be brides and housewives.. They sit next to him stroking his lovely silk hairlocks and moustache…

Al-Mukhtar sighs in pleasure enjoying his free time.. In that moment… One of his slaves comes into the room and tells him he has a visitor..
