Knowing Erica, I know she’s going to take us some place nasty but it wouldn’t hurt to take a walk and stretch my legs and besides there’s nothing important for me to do at the moment.

As soon as I was done dressing, Erica and I left the house and toured around the neighborhood. There wasn’t much going on in our African neighborhood but we both managed to become the center of attention. As it turned out that Sunday afternoon, the men had gathered around in small groups holding arguments and playing cards amongst themselves. Immediately they sensed our presence, they began to whistle and making naughty comments about us. Erica made things worse by doing a cats walk swaying her hips around and throwing signals at the men.

Elizabeth Erica! What are you doing?

Erica Giving the men something to look at. Look at how they’re ogling at us.

Elizabeth Is this your idea of taking a walk?

Erica Relax Elizabeth, there’s no harm in having men stare at us. At least we’re dressed moderately.

Elizabeth Still I don’t like this. Don’t forget that I’m married.

Erica So am I but we are not doing anything. We’re just taking a walk and getting admired by men.

Elizabeth Let’s just stay in one place.

Erica Sure, let’s get into that bar.

Elizabeth BAR!!?

Erica Come on. It’s hot and it would be nice to get a drink. Let’s go.
