“Daddy when you are fully recovered I will take you home.” I said and held his hand.

Vanessa pov

“Mummy? I think I should excuse you guys, treat him well.” Campbell whispered into my ear and I kept wondering how I got this cute little gem.

“I love you more mommy.” He replied and pecked my cheek, before another word he ran off inside.

“Am sorry Vanessa.” Joe said pleading on his knees.

“Don’t give me that crap, how do you expect me to just trust you and forgive you like that and my boyfriend? How are you my boyfriend?” I asked and he smiled which surprised me. “Is it funny?” I asked.

“No, no, no it’s totally not funny, I just had this quick thought, what if I had done more to protect you that night, then you wouldn’t have been raped and you wouldn’t even know Thomas had such evil plans for you, thinking it through you guys will definitely have dated because I know Thomas would have you no matter what, and I won’t even have the courage to tell you I like you, you probably wouldn’t have had Campbell, I just want you to know everything that happened is more like fate!” He said and his words brought me back to my mom’s words fate?!

What exactly does fate mean?

“How? What do you mean it’s fate?” I asked a little curious.

“Vanessa fate brought us together infact this was our fate right from the start, I believe everything that happened existed because of us, to be honest I won’t be here confessing my feelings to you if it’s not because of what happened, at first I just wanted to apologize to you and now it has become something more than that, this was our fate right from the start, when I met you at KINGS restaurant I knew it will lead to this and am really glad it’s you my heart beats for, Vanessa I love you and am sorry, just forgive me.” He pleaded and my heart melted, to be honest if he doesn’t like me he would have stopped when he found out about Campbell.

I have no choice now, I need to forgive and forget since I now realise that I love him too.

“Ok, I will forgive you only if you can tell me why you love me.” I asked feeling silly.

“Do I need a reason to love you, to me you are just perfect, and all I want is to live in the same roof with you and Campbell.”

“And our next child.” I said and his face brightened up. I can’t believe I’m thinking of a future with Joe.

“When you say that, do you mean you have forgiven me?” He asked smiling brightly.

“Damn right! Have forgiven you, I love you too Joe.” I said and the next thing I know he hugged me.

“Thank you, thank you so much Vanessa, I promise to always love you.” He replied hugging me so tight.

“Hmm…. Campbell is inside, your voice.” I said and we laughed.

“Finally! Dream come true!” He yelled.

Now I get it, everything that has happened, happened for a reason, a reason which has made me know love.

I love Joe.
