After their last conversation on WhatsApp, Charles decided to visit Elena to explain who Karen is and why she is in his house. As the driver was about to park, Charles saw Elena’s gate open and he saw her step out with a young man. A very handsome man. Charles heart somersaulted. He watched as the man opened the door for her to enter the car. He too entered and drove off. As the drover drove him home he was angry.

“Ahhhh! I have finally seen the person she’s getting married to.”

Charles could not sleep. He has been praying concerning a partner and God is yet to speak about it. He had even told God:

“If it’s Karen or Elena tell me and I will marry as instructed”

Day by day, he prayed. In church Elena avoids him especially when he is with Karen. On several occasions he had caught her staring at him then quickly turn her head.

“God my heart craves for Elena not Karen” He murmured to himself.

His heart further sank when brothers in the church openly told him their interest in her. Exactly six months Charles commenced his prayers, he had a revelation. It was so vivid. He was in the church listening to his Pastor preach when suddenly the Pastor stopped his preaching and dropped the microphone. He asked Elena and Him to step out. As they stood in the presence of the Pastor, he asked them to face each other and they did. He asked Charles to hold Elena’s hand.

“Today, in the church of God, I pronounce you husband and wife”

As the congregation stood clapping and jubilating, Charles woke up.

Immediately, he went on his knees thanking God for the revelation. The energy to preach was there, as he left his prayer altar. He studied his bible until it was 5:30am. Charles had the urge to go for morning cry. He got dressed and left the house quietly without waking Karen. As he left the compound holding his bible with his right hand, he sang:

“I have decided to follow Jesus

I have decided to follow Jesus

No turning back

No turning back”

Charles was so carried away with the song as he walked to the place he wanted to preach. He noticed people passed him. He had not started when a man passed him then returned to him few seconds later.

“Good morning sir” He greeted Charles

“Please don’t be offended by what I am about to say”

“Alright, what is it?”

Charles tried to focus on the man’s face. Perhaps the man knows him but he has never seen him before.

“Do you know me before?”

“No sir but God knows you. He has asked me to tell you that he has given you a treasure. Please take care of it”

Taken aback, he was confused.

“A treasure?

“You have been asking God to show you who your wife is and he has done it”

Charles mind flashed to the dream he had earlier.

“Take care of Elena” The man said and started walking fast.

As if that was not enough, as soon as he got home after his morning cry, he received a call from his mother and she began to ask questions.

“How is that girl I saw in your house that day”

“Which girl mum?”

“The one that told you she was going for NYSC”

“Ooh Elena, she has completed the program mum. How come you are just remembering her” he asked laughing.

From the other end, he could hear his mother’s laughter too.

“That girl is your wife. God showed me this morning”

Charles didn’t tell his mother the revelation he had. He discussed other things with her then ended the call. He dropped his phone on the table and smiled. He was filled with joy.
