Clara and Mercy leaped for Joy at Nelson’s decision.

Clara picked up her bag and walked Mercy to the park, Mercy journeyed back to Lagos while Clara headed to Nelson’s house. She met Keji.

“You can’t collect my bags, where is my husband? She asked Keji who was just gazing at the windows

Clara brought out a perfume and began to spray it. Keji started sneezing “please stop that” Keji begged, holding her breath.

“So you can talk”

“please I’m allergic to that thing you are doing”.

Clara laughed and sprayed some more. Keji ran out quickly but was too late it has already affected her breathing. Dara noticed the way she was doing and ran to her aid, she ran quickly to get an inhaler, the inhaler could not suppress it. With the help of some passersby, she took her to the hospital. Pastor Moses also joined them in the hospital.

“Where is Nelson?” Pastor Moses asked

“He’s not back from work”

“Why will he allow that woman again, are you sure is in his right senses”

“She’s pregnant” Keji replied tearfully

“For Nelson?” Pastor Moses exclaimed.

“Yes…”

“I will not allow you to go back there, never”

Pastor Moses left with Keji after she was discharged.

“So Nelson will not come and check on me, this is the second day have been away from home” Keji cried bitterly.

A lady ran to the church premises singing and dancing

“God when? when will you answer me, when will you give me my miracle, that will cause me to dance like the lady over there”

“Keji!” pastor Moses called her, “why are you sober, I told you everything will be fine”

“Daddy why is it that any time I ask God for Miracle, He will always give me the opposite, am I not one of His children?”

Pastor Moses laughed “your Miracle is on the way, your release from the hands of the ritualist, was it not a miracle?’

“No is not, not the miracle I would pray for” she wiped her tears

“Ah why will you say that your pregnancy is a miracle, do you know how many people out there looking for this”

“Daddy this pregnancy is the worst thing that has ever happened to me”

“Keji?” He screamed her name

She moved closer to him “What I want to tell you now, please sir don’t tell anybody, the pregnancy is for one of the ritualists”

“Jesus! What! How come?”

“They were so furious because the herbalist told them they can’t use me. While they were returning me, one of them said he won’t let me go free, then he raped me” Her tears flowed uncontrollably.

“This is so bad. I don’t even know what I will say” He inhaled deeply.

“Daddy, I will be leaving this area, please don’t tell anyone what I just told you”. She left every attempt Pastor Moses made to stop her prove abortive.

Nelson entered some minutes after she left. “good afternoon Sir where is my wife”

“Which of them?”

“Keji now, Dara told me what happened to her, have not been around I just came back from work, we had an emergency in the city”

“Anyway your Keji left to a place I don’t know”

“No sir, she can’t”

“I’m not sure you are thinking bro Nelson, why will you bring that woman back into your house”

Nelson moved out ignoring the question asking people her whereabouts. most of them knew Keji because of her food vending business.

“I saw her at the bus stop,” said a Lady.

He ran to the bus stop but the bus took off before he got there.

Keji highlighted, walked around the city of Lagos she saw the post for house help, she entered the compound and approached the gateman.

“Good afternoon sir”

“Pretty how are you”
