They carried the calabash as instructed, but it broke into pieces immediately it touched her head, the herbalist screamed, “Where do you see this woman, she’s a poison, if you don’t want the rot of the God, return her now, and do it quickly and safely”

They took her away immediately and threatened to kill her if she revealed their identity to anyone. She lied down tirelessly on the floor. Some good Samaritans saw her where she was lying and lifted her, she begged them to take her to the church.

The pastor raised praise songs immediately after they brought her in. He praised God happily, they gave her food and some drugs. Her helpers narrated all she told them and where they picked her from.

“Do you know the culprits?” Pastor Moses asked her

“I don’t know them” she replied.

Nelson knelt in front of her, “My wife please forgive me” he started crying “All that Clara told you is true. That woman you saw was my worst nightmare”,

“No, she’s not, Is the alcohol, if you were not drunk last night this would not have happened to me,” she said faintly

“Forgive me Morenikejimi, Please don’t leave me, I made a very big mistake for leaving Lagos without signing the divorce letter, and for not telling you, please forgive me, you are the best thing that ever happened to me in this world, Clara is my past and that is where I will put her”.

“Enough boy I won’t let her go with you” pastor Moses cut in.

“Daddy please let me go”, keji told the pastor.

“If you insisted”, He gave her some money to buy more drugs, and prayed for her.

Nelson was so happy, he backed Keji and they took off. They got home to find Clara lying on the bed.

“What is she still doing here,” Keji asked, Nelson, signaled her to calm down and confronted Clara “I’m not expecting to meet you here”

“Because I’m not going to leave here without my husband, I’m not divorcing again”. She brought out the document and tore it into pieces.

“Clara warn yourself, take your trouble and leave my house I will not marry two wives, God forbid”

“If you are not ready for two wives then one would leave and that is not me”.

“Who is leaving, ” Keji asked angrily”

“Honey please don’t stress yourself” he placed her gently on the bed.

“Clara, why are you doing this, you that cannot stay in the local area of Lagos, now want to leave in a village, a single room for that matter. Clara, please carry your trouble and leave. I almost lose the love of my life because of what happened last night, I have found my peace, please go and find yours”. He begged

“How dare you talk to me in such manner, like I’m the cause of your problem”

“You are Clara, you ate all my investment, everything I worked for, you ruined them all, I was not the one who initiated the divorce, you did after I was giving transfer letter, you said you cannot suffer with me, have you forgotten?”

“Dear is okay, I don’t want noise” Keji interrupted

They began to do things that would provoke Clara. She ran outside to cry “See the way they are playing love in front of me, even if they do worst have come to stay, now I need to fortify myself, she dialed a number”
