To Love Gabriel Harris - S01 E18

Just Kiss Me

Dashing down the flight of stairs, we could hear the distant shouts from the security guard on duty. Our laughs echoed through the lighthouse, our fingers still entwined.

I yelped in surprise when Alexander made a sharp turn --- heading through the forest. He managed to dodge all the upcoming branches, however I got smacked across the face by each of them.

" We're here...my last favourite spot." Alexander slowed down, announcing with a gleeful smile.

I let my eyes take in the surroundings, the stars shimmer above us like scattered moondust in the sky. The twinkling sequin stars made Alexander look like an gorgeous angel standing before me.

Just a few steps away, I realised we were near the edge of a tall cliff and below, a large lake which's serenity calmed my nerves.

" I love this..." I breathed out. Glancing over at Alexander -- I nearly choked on my own saliva.

" W-what are you doing?" He pulled his t-shirt over his head, displaying his solid glory. I loved the tattoo that led down his waist, along with the another tattoo that wrapped itself around his bicep. 4

Keeping on his knee length jeans, he walked towards me. 10

I wasn't sure whether I was the only feeling the atmosphere heat up, my palms felt sweaty once more. Despite that, I couldn't tear my eyes away from that suggestive look he was giving me.

The irresistible lip biting along with the way his brown orbs peered up through his thick eyelashes. He was truly an angel. 3

" Dare to jump off the cliff with me?" I was challenged by the devil this time. He knew very well how I was afraid of heights, but he simply loved pushing my limits. 18

I took a deep breath, taking off my tshirt. "What are you waiting for?" A smirk played on my lips when I saw his eyes roam eagerly over my body.

We stood at the edge of the cliff, toes peeking out from the end.

" You know what? I don't feel like jumping any longer." I begin to brisk walk away but Alexander dragged me right back.

He took my hand in his warm one, giving my hand a small squeeze.

" I won't let go, I promise."

There seemed to be more to his words, like it was a promise to never let me go, no matter the circumstances. Maybe I was just over thinking it...

" On the count of three okay?" He reassured me but I was a fool to believe him.

Afterall, I forgotten that he absolutely loved to bend the rules.

" One...Tw--JUMP!!!" He yanked me off the cliff without counting till three. My heart thumped, breath stopped. 11

In flesh and bone, I fell for maybe five seconds. Though, it felt like more than three minutes. My eyes were closed tightly, screaming my lungs out from the feeling of defying gravity.

My hair strands that usually flop over my eyes now flew straight upwards, I felt Alexander wrap his arms around me as we splashed into the freezing water.

I swam up to the surface of the water, rubbing my eyes free from water. Cracking out in laughter, I felt alive! The blood surging through my veins 10 times faster.

My laugh died down when I didn't see his familiar face.

" Alexander! Xander don't play games with me!" My heart palpitated rapidly against my ribcage. The water was still as ever, and my nerves were becoming restless at thought of him disappearing.

I shrieked in surprise when a hand clasped around my ankle, pulling me downwards--- below the water surface.

However, this time, I didn't swim to the surface just yet. With a swift pull, I was below the water surface with his lips on mine.

Out of instinct, I pulled him closer by his neck. I was more hungry for his kiss than catching my breath.

I only had him on my mimd, the cold water contrasting from his touch that made my body burn with passion. His lips, so sweet against mine -- taking his time to explore every inch of my mouth.

Gradually, we swam above the water, catching our breath.

" Wow...that was..."

" Mind blowing.." Alexander completed my sentence. I could still feel his kiss lingering on my now swollen lips. I couldn't express how hard I was falling for him--- and the best part was that he doesn't even know how deep my attraction towards him is. 3

He swam closer to me, his finger trailing from my eyebrows to my bottom lip.

"Tell me, why do you like this cliff so much?" My question made a soft smile graced his lips, his dimples making an appearance.

He pushed himself up onto the smooth damp rocks, helping me up afterwards.

" Cliffs taught me something." He begin, taking a brief glance at me.

" Sometimes all you have to do is go for it. Take a breath and jump. Because's here's the thing, you can spend forever standing at the foot of the cliff and you'll always find a reason not to jump. It's too high; it might hurt; you might swallow water. And all those things are true, but you know what else is true?"

I shook my head, unsure but also just staring at him in awe. He continued.

"You'll waste a perfectly good life standing on the edge when really the most beautiful thing you could do is go for it. Take the jump, and that's what I did: I took a jump and I did it -- I kissed you, something I wanted to do from the first time I met you."

I took it all in, each word, each emotion I felt. I realised that every place he brought me to held a little message that he strongly believed in.

His childhood house spoke about how sometimes memorise are the worst torture, hence you need to just let the pain go.

The lighthouse spray paintings hit me hard, making me realise that you don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe. Trust. Let go and see what happens.

Unable to hold it back, I kissed him once more, pinning him against the rock. His fingers grip the ends of my hair, biting my lip that brought me to the edge of euphoria.

He pulled away for a moment, his lips red along with his flushed cheeks. I frowned, I was so close to stabbing him if he planned on teasing me like that.

" Gabriel, if we continue...I don't think I can stop, I j-just can't control myself around you." His adam apple bobbled, he was as eager as I was.

" Don't hold back Alexander, someone special told me that sometimes you just have to go for it." The ends of his lips titled upwards.

Slamming his lips onto mine, I once again felt the rush of helplessness, the sinking yielding, the surging tide of warmth that left me limp.

Alexander laid me gently against the rock, planting kisses across my collarbone, cheeks, nibbling ever so sweetly at the crook of my neck.

He kissed me, softly at first, and then with a swift gradation of intensity that made me cling to him like he was the only solid thing in my dizzy swaying world. His insistent mouth was parting my shaking lips, sending wild tremors along my nerves, evoking from me sensations I had never known I was capable of feeling.

Scrap that, I never knew someone could even love me.

And before a swimming giddiness spun me round and round, I let my eyes roll back, reaching the peak of bliss...

Wrapped up in a warm blanket that Alexander took from his backpack, we sat by the rocks, watching the sunrise --- the sky was filled with blended tones of rosy pinks and sandy yellows. A subtle way to welcome a new day, a new beginning. For Alexander and I.

Alexander brought along a jug of homemade tea which was now my favourite drink. With a mug of tea in my hand, my fingers trace the steam swirling above the warm liquid. The scent of orange spice tickles my nose as I sip in solace and wait.

Alexander lies on my thighs, with his eyes closed, he lets a lazy smile rest on his lips. Playing with the strands of his dark blonde hair, I let my mind drift to the night we spent together. I truly had every inch of him --- he was mine, and I was his.

Yesterday night was simply all sorts of perfect. I still had vivid memories of how each of his touch and words made me feel. I just never wanted this moment to end.

" Gabriel..?" Alexander broke the comfortable silence, his eyes still closed.

" mmhm.." I hummed in response.

" Do you have a dream? Like something you just would love to do but never got the chance to?"

I remained quiet. Did I have dream? Or even a plan for how my life would go on after college?

If I got asked this question 2 months ago, I would have said without hesitation that I wanted to become a well known artist with a fruitful career.

But right now...with Alexander having walked into my life, I just want to live each day with him.

" Gab, I don't want to be the reason you don't accomplish what you want to do, you know?" His honey eyes peered up at me.

" You're only 20 years old, you have your whole life ahead of you. So just tell me honestly, what's your dream?"

I looked ahead to the dazzingling reflection of the lake, licking my chapped lips.

" I always wanted to travel the world, experience all the different tastes, see all the variety of artworks, discover the real me." I glanced back at him, a small smile on my lips. 5

" Well don't hold yourself back Gab, its your life and you should spend everyday to your fullest."

" I have you Alex, that's enough for me right now."

" No Gab, you'll regret that if you just hold everything back for me. When you love someone, you'll set them free to do what they love if it makes them happy and Gabriel, I want you to achieve something in your life that makes you happy." The back of his palm carassed my cheek.

I nodded in acknowledgement, embracing him in a bear hug. I was still uncertain of whether I would really pursue my dreams, but I'll keep in it mind...

The alarm from Alexander's phone interrupted the moment, it couldn't get any more cliche honestly.

His eyes wodened upon seeing the words written on his screen.

" Shit!" Alexander jumped to his feet and began putting on his tshirt.

" What's wrong?"

" We're late! God, how could we have forgotten?!"

I rolled my eyes, I hated being left in the a dark.

" What are we late for??" He cupped my face in his hands, pecking my lips.

" Angie's unicorn princess carnival of course!"

Shit, we better start preparing an explanation along with it...
