❝Slap and kiss❞

The next day I had woken up in Sebastian's room with him sitting on the chair beside the bed. He did not say anything as he helped me into a wheelchair, a different kind of one that I had before but he took me to the dining room which I have memories of where we had guests over and I ended up sleeping outside with him by my side. He wheeled me in silence to the table. "Before we eat, can you come here for a moment?" I ask him and he nods his head.

He goes down on his knees and is in front of me. "What is it that you need?" He asks me. I smirk at him as I raise my hand I slap him on the cheek as hard as I can. "I'm not an object to buy and put on your shelf" I tell him. He looks hurt from me slapping him but then I put my hands on either side of his cheeks and pull him in for a kiss, shocking him completely. When I break the kiss I look at him with a satisfying smile on my face. "And that was for recusing me" I tell him.

"Can we eat now, I'm a bit hungry?" I ask him as if this never happened but I needed to let that out of my system and as much as I enjoyed the kiss, I'm so hungry as I've not eaten in so long and I want food. Sebastian collects himself and then sits down. "Yes, we should... eat" He says. Obviously he's confused and was not expecting that to happen but then again I had not planned on doing that until I did it, I needed to get that out of me and my emotions somehow and that was the only way that I could think of doing.

Perhaps not the best way but I think he did deserve that because he should've told me about all of from the very beginning but he kept it from me and because it I almost died and then almost got married and then almost died again so he did deserve it. We start eating our dinner. "Are you going to tell me now or later?" I ask him. Asking him is the only way of getting information as he has stayed silent for most of the time.

Like he's afraid to speak or something which does confuse me more than ever but I try not to think much about it as he normally doesn't say that much but he's never this silent. Sebastian sighs as he sips on some water. "You want to know what happened in Paris, I assume?" He asks me and I nod my head. "And just about everything that you haven't told me" I tell him and he nods his head. Really, it is that easy to get answers now? Perhaps I should be in danger more often so that he will tell me things that I want to know. 3

"We went to Paris because I had to do business there and I could not leave you alone here so you went with me. There I learned that my brother had sent an assassin to kill you-" He begins to say but I cut him off. "I don't understand if he wants to kill me one minute and then wants to marry me the next. What is up with that?" I ask him but he raises an eyebrow at me. "If you allow me to finish then you might know the answers" He says to me and I roll my eyes.

I give him a look to continue and he does. "It was a woman and when she learned who I was she took out her gun and pointed it at me. Told me why she was there but she was willing to stop for money and more enjoyable activities and when I denied her that she told me a kiss would be enough and so to safe your life I kissed her" He says and not once do his emerald green eyes stray away from mine. 18

"My brother and I met you at the same time on your birthday in your party. Because it was a masquerade you did not know either one of us. When he saw a woman he wanted, I saw a woman with the world at her feet. And when I learned of his plan to trick your father I did all I could to help you for I would not allow another woman to fall into the hands of my brother and suffer the same fate as the last one did" He tells me and I can see sadness in his eyes.

I had no clue that I had met him before when he came after I learned the news about our marriage, but I allow him to continue, even when I want to know what happened to this other woman who I've never heard of. "So, I offered to marry you for money but that was not enough, my brother was furious and wanted to get you so I had to be one step ahead. That time when I was gone for two months, I was trying to find him and his assassins" He tells me and the more he speaks the more frightened I become.

"But with no luck I turned back home. Until I learned of his plans and I went one step ahead of him about everything. The accident, the wait, the church, the woman who is an assassin and finally my brother's arrest. All of it was planned by me and I knew that it would succeed. How you would return to me was the only thing I could not predict for the accident was more severe than I had thought it would be and that will haunt me for as long as I live" Sebastian finishes and without thought I put my hand over his and smile at him.

A lot of people have been commenting and telling me and complaining about how this story is growing rather long one but I'm that is only because each chapter is about 1000 words long and because each chapter is short, not much happens each chapter. Because of that one day can be in four, five or even more chapters so there are many chapters but short ones. I'm not going to reveal how many chapters there are going to be because I don't want to ruin the suspense, if you all knew how many chapters then you know what is going to be next (sort of). But, I will tell you have I know how many chapters there are going to be so don't worry about that. And in July this book will finish like I promised?
