Ashewo - S01 E15

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 15

I was running from three men. Each of them with red masks covering their faces, and guns in their hands. The bushes scratched at my legs, and drew blood but I wasn’t thinking about any of that. It was the things they would do to me if they caught me that kept me running. My gown was torn all over, and my knees hurt from constantly falling on the muddy ground.

Suddenly, I tripped and I felt myself falling headlong into a black hole…

I screamed in fright, and woke up to find Sandra sitting on the bed next to me. She was staring at me with understanding on her face.

“A nightmare right?”

I nodded, still shivering with the fright that came from the dream. Sandra drew me into a hug, while gently patting my head. I sighed, feeling comforted about having someone that I could rely on.

A knock sounded at the door, and Dominic opened the door.

“Mr Godwin would like you to come out right now. He says someone would like to meet you.”

I stared at him, trying to read meaning to his face or the way he looked. None was there, so I stood up, ignoring Sandra’s hands trying to stop me from leaving.

As I left the bedroom, Sandra came along with me, but was stopped by Dominic.

“Mr Godwin specifically asked Lillian to come out alone.”

“This late at night? Why?,” Sandra questioned authoritatively.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be alright,” I reassured her, trying to look brave.

Downstairs, a man in a three piece suit was sitting on the sofa, discussing with Godwin and taking sips from a glass of juice.

“Oh, Adeshola, this is the young lady. Lillian, Meet Adeshola, your client for the night,” Godwin introduced us with smiles on his face.

The young man assessed me with a grin on his face,

“Well, Mr Godwin, she’s beautiful. But more importantly, she’ll be really good in bed…”

My eyes opened in surprise.

“I’m not going anywhere with you…”

But, before I could complete the sentence Dominic had already covered my mouth and nose with a handkerchief.

I passed out
