I watched Desmond leave until he was out of sight, yet I couldn’t move a step from where I stood.

“God forgive me, if you were able to keep silent and watch them used me as a toy, I pray you’ll also keep silent and watch me pay them back, I said in my heart and Patience call came on phone and I picked up.

“Hello sister I just saw your message, who are you meeting with? She asked.

“I already did, I replied.

“Okay, but you don’t sound good and who was it? She asked.

“Patience forget it okay, I’m driving home now, I replied and dropped the call and left.

I arrived home and met Duke with his girlfriend but I just passed them to my room as they looked at me confused. I closed the door behind and played the audio I recorded when I met with Desmond repeatedly as I began to pack my bags.

A knock came on the door but I ignored despite hearing Sandra voice begging me to open up, but I only did when I was done packing.

“Traveling? She asked.

“Yea, an emergency one, I replied and Duke approached us.

“Where to? Duke asked.

“I just want a quiet life, please don’t bother looking for me okay, I replied and Sandra peeped into my room.

“Your phone is on bed, she said.

“Yea because I don’t want disturbance, take care of yourself okay, I said touching Sandra.

“Wait sister I don’t understand, when are you coming back? Duke asked.

“I don’t know for Now, look I have to go, I replied taking my bag.

“But how am i going to reach you without a phone? Duke shouted but i ignored and left with my car…..

It was getting late already, so I had to launch in a hotel but I couldn’t sleep that night.

I thought of ways to make them pay but couldn’t find none, and to make it worst I have no idea of where they stay despite I’m aware of the state, though I know Chike may know but he won’t tell me. I decided to go through Precious page just to get a clue of where she resides, then I saw a picture where she took in a salon which I was able to see the name. I wrote it down and tried gathering every pieces I could get from her pictures and tags of places she has visited hoping I’ll get to meet her in any of the places so I can trace her home.

I really need to know where they live, though I had no idea of what to do to them but I just wanted to know.

Very early morning in the morning before 5a.m I was already driving. I didn’t want to take a flight down there because I needed money in a time like this, all I did was stock my car with food and snacks to get me going and fueled my car. But something happened on the road, I saw a guy lying just in the middle of the road and I had to quickly hold the brake so I won’t crush him. I knew that was one of the pranks of armed robbers and before I knew it, the guy on the road stood up pointing a gun at my car and 2 guys came out from the bush with guns.

“Come out, one of the guys said as I shakily raised my hand and opened the door.

“Please I don’t have cash with me, I said.

“Shut up! Search the car, one said bending my head down to touch my car with the gun still pointing at My head while the other turned to search the car. But a vehicle was approaching with bright headlights and my heart began to beat fast praying they should help me out,

“Be fast! The guy holding me shouted on the guy checking my car.

“There’s no money! The guy said and we could see the vehicle coming and that was how they jumped into the bush leaving me but my hands were still up scared.

The bus stopped and 4 guys came out with no shirts on and held guns,

“Where are they? One asked me but I only pointed to where they ran into.

“Did they collect anything from you? Another asked and I shook my head.

“Thank you, i replied.

“Its okay, traveling? They asked and I nodded and told them where I was going to.

“Okay then, bye, they said and wanted going in but I stopped them,

“Please I need your help, I said.

“Our help? We don’t look like police o its just that we enjoy threatening those small boys but ordinarily we be bad guys o, one said and I nodded.

“I know, that’s why I want you to help me and I’ll pay, I boldly said and they looked at themselves and circled me,

“Wetin you want make we do for you? One asked and I got into the car and brought out Desmond and Precious picture and gave it to them,

“Wetin happen? They do you bad? One asked and I nodded.

“Very bad and they think they will get away with it. I wanted taking them to court, but its like they are above the law, they brag that I can’t do them anything but I won’t let it go, I replied.

“Who be this people first of all? another asked.

“The guy there was my ex husband and the lady was my best friend. They played me, took away the money my father left for me after he died and left me empty. I almost died and I lost my baby and now they are happily living together without any remorse for what they did to me. I want to see their wealth all gone, after all my 3 million was what he invested to get the wealth he has now, I explained.

“Omoh see gobe! So like this you trust us say we go carry this job? One asked.

“I know you will, I can sense it, I replied and they wickedly laughed.

“So na your revenge mission you dey go so ba? One asked and I nodded.

“Is alright, we know the area sha, we just dey like MTN everywhere you go we dey digiba, one said and I smiled.

“Thank you, I said.

“So how much you dey yan us so? The rubber band must tight shey you know?, the guys asked and I smiled.

“Don’t worry, I promise you guys the rubber band will be heavy and if you guys will be able to get my money back it will be more better, I replied.

“You know what, I like you, one said.

“I swear we like you already, in fact you don be our mama, others said and I laughed.

“I appreciate, So what is going to happen now? Do you have where to stay over there? I asked.

“Ahhhhh we dey lack where to stay? Our people dey everywhere na, anyhow I go just call them and we go lap for the area then move when we finish. We be landlords o, one replied and I smiled nodding.

“See what you’ll do for us eh, we go collect your number, when you reach find place to stay then rest, we go come visit you so by then we go inform the guys say we dey come so we go run the matter, how you see am? One asked.

“Its good, but the problem is I don’t have a phone for now. I’ll be the one to collect your number instead when I arrive there I’ll get a small phone and get a Sim registered then I’ll call you, what about that? I asked back.

“No wahala anyhow we dey available. But we go investigate on this maga to know if he strong wella because he be like he get connections this one wey he dey brag, one said.

“That’s true, but I know you fit treat him fuck up, he no fit pass una, I said.

“ahhhh na now you dey talk sweet thing. So na my number be this, just hala us up when we reach while we dey arrange ourselves, one said handing a paper to me and I asked for the pen they used so I can write down the details of Desmond and Precious to them.

“Okay momma drive safe oo! They shouted and I waved at them as they jumped into the bus and drove off which I got into mine and smiled,

“There’s an adage that says “the wicked shall kill the wicked”. Let’s see how it will roll Desmond, I said and kicked the engine………

I arrived late in the evening because of the bad roads and was damn tired, but when I remembered the guys that came my way, I was just filled with joy untold but then I knew my family will be so worried.

Just as we agreed, I got a phone the next day and used a random Sim card to call the guys which they promised to visit me the next day. I decided to cool over in a guest house just to less the cost of renting a hotel when I don’t know how long it will last. During the day I decided to visit some of the places I got from Precious page, I dropped by at the salon, the boutique and the shopping mall but there no trace of her, then I noticed some annoying sounds coming from my car and decided to check it out at the mechanic.

I was there very bored looking at how my car was fixed when a particular guy kept passing staring at me and in my heart I hissed.

“This guy does not know his mate or what? I asked myself and he came again and stopped before me,

“Sorry, its like I know you somewhere, he said and I yawned. I was not ready for any yeye talk in a place I only come briefly for business is what this guy is saying he knows me.

“You do sell rice in the market ba? He asked and mentioned the place my shop was and that was when I knew he really knows me.

“Ahh yes o that was then, how are you? I asked in a friendly manner and adjusted for him to sit down despite I don’t still know him.

“I’m good o, I know you won’t know me, I do push wheel barrow then before my uncle took me to learn how to repair cars, he replied.

“Wow that’s good, here will serve you better than the wheel barrow, I said.

“Sure, so you came to visit your husband? He asked and I heaved.

“Omoh you really sabi me o! I said and he laughed.

“I know people eh, when once my eyes sets on someone it registers Immediately, he said.

“So you even know my husband is here huh? I asked.

“He do come to your shop there na, omoh I saw him once here and opened my mouth, God don shine Una face. Shey that’s your car? He asked pointing at my car and I smiled nodding.

“Congrats, that’s good God don settle you and oga, he said and I smirked.

“No more my oga o, but where you been see am sef? I asked.

“You and oga no dey again? Eeeyyaaa I didn’t know o, He said shaking his head.

“Its okay, so fit remember where you been see am? I asked more interested in that.

“Na for one man house o, he come birthday party……. You know all the big guys party, i been follow my uncle, he replied.

“You fit remember the address? I feel like visiting someone, here is too boring, I said and he smiled and told me the address.

“Thank you, abeg collect this change hold body for recognizing me, I said giving him a note.

“Ahh thank you, he said getting up.

“Its okay, sorry I wasn’t expecting to see you, I said and he smiled and left and I nodded writing down the address before I’ll forget.

After my car was fixed, I decided to check out the place. It was a beautiful house well fenced and I wonder how I will get in there. I stayed there inside my car for more than 5 hours and even slept off there, but I woke up with the sound of a car horning and it was a jeep about to drive in. I checked my time and saw it was past 1a.m

“Damn it Joan! I shouted and quickly drove back to the guest house after the jeep drove in………..
