Kidnapped By A Tree - S01 E05

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 5

I knew I was doomed the moment I read what was on the wall.

“You will be taken 5 days from now. There’s no way to Stop it”.

I knew that my chances of stopping it has been drained to nothing.

The only way of stopping it is by going back to my house but now, there’s no way to contact my Dad and there is no transport to take me back home.

The only thing I can do now is to just wait for D-day and pray for my safety.

I deliberated on the decision of telling my grandma and the other people in the house. I thought they might find solution to it.

But I disagree with that decision. What if those in the house are the one behind it?. What if it is my grandmother? Maybe that’s is why my Dad’s brothers went missing and my grandfather became bedridden. Maybe that’s why she employed a female househelp instead of a male.

I decided to keep my mouth shut until that day.

If I get lucky, my Dad may come to the village to pick me so that I can celebrate my birthday in the city.

That day went by and I didn’t miss having the nìghtmares.

Sometimes I woke up by the tree, sometimes I woke up seeing myself on my feet. I have even gotten a glimpse of one of the boys when I woke up. He ran out of the room the moment I opened my eyes.

And on another occasion, I heard them laughing hysterically at me. I mean, when I woke up from the nightmare, I heard them laughing at me. It seems as if they were in my head.

Throughout those night, I was kept alive with the hope that my Dad may come on the fourth of fifth day to take me back.

The first day passed by, my Dad didn’t come. The second and third passed by and he didn’t come. On the fourth day, my hope was really high as I thought I will just see his car parking at the front of the house. From morning till night, I was kept in the cage of expectation as he didn’t show.

The moment I woke up from my nìghtmare on the last day, I quickly went to sit by the front door to wait for him.

I didn’t mind the big and dry tree standing before me. What I focused my mind on was seeing my Dad’s red car parked at the front of the house.

11, 12 am passed, I didn’t see him. 1,2,3,4 pm passed and Dad didn’t show.

I was getting tired of waiting as I stood up only four times from that spot I was sitting on.

Twice when I wanted to eat. Once when I wanted to defecate and the last one when my grandma called me to run some errand for her.

When the time clocked 7pm and he didn’t show, I went inside to eat then, I went to my room to take the bible my mum put inside my bag while coming from home.

I grabbed the bible tightly and held it up to my heart as if I wanted to use to slow my fast beating heartbeat.

It took sometimes before I slept off. That was because I didn’t want to sleep at all as I concluded that those spirit only came through nightmare.

After staying awake for four hours, I finally dozed off. That was around 11 pm.

It was as if I didn’t sleep at all because the moment I dozed off, the two boys entered my room.

The first thing they did when they entered was taking away the bible I was holding in my hand.

They took the bible easily from me as I believed it was because I had a little faith in what I was holding. And, I was not even faithful to it. I held the bible on because my parents told me that it does wonders.

The moment they collected the bible, they lifted me from the bed I was sleeping on and started dragging me outside.

One grabbed my two legs while the other one grabbed my shoulder.

I wasn’t fightīng it. I was just looking at them as if I was having sleep paralysis.

I know many people knows how it feels, you don’t really have control of the things happening in your dream. You feels helpless most of the times and you just go along with the flow of your dream.

That is exactly what I was feeling at that moment.

They took me outside the house and started walking towards the tree.

They were like four feet away from the tree when I woke up to life.

The placed I found myself when I woke up was the most scariest and terrifying situations I have ever been.

The moment I woke up, I found myself on their arms and they were carrying me to the tree.

It was just as if I paused my dream and continued in real life because nothing changed.

This time, I wasn’t been carried by a spiritual force. For the first time, I saw the two that have been disturbing and visiting me in my dreams.

We were just a feet away from entering the tree when the one holding my shoulder looked down to my face and said

” We told you. We told you that no one will save you. We told you that you are coming with us into the tree”

He said and they took the last step to enter the tree.
