Kidnapped By A Tree - S01 E04

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 4

The unseen force continues dragging me towards the tree.

I tried everything I could to stop the violent natured pulling but I couldn’t. I dipped my hand into the soft sand to reduce the speed at which the unseen hand was pulling me, but it wasn’t working.

The thing I did the last minute made the spirit released his grip. I don’t know if the word I said was prompted by fear or by the little belief I had in the word.

I felt it, my feet has already touched the tree, just remaining it going into tree.

I screamed “Jesus…” loudly with tears in my eyes.

The moment I said this word, the spirit/boy left my leg and the atmosphere changed back to normal.

I couldn’t move for some minutes. When I looked around discovered that we are still in the middle of the night, I forced myself up and managed to go inside.

I collapsed on the sofa when I entered the sitting room. That was after I closed the door.

I was woken up the next day by my grandmother’s soft voice.

“Aahh. Why don’t you sleep in the room? Why sleeping here again?” She asked.

I stood up after hearing her word.

When I checked the time, it was already 11 am in the morning.

“I dozed on the sofa yesternight” I lied to her.

“Okay don’t sleep in the sitting room again. There are mosquitoes here” she advised.

“Maa! I have a question I want to ask you”

“Okay. Go on”

“Is there a way I can go home today?”

“Really? Are you tired already of this place?”

“Noo ma. Just feel like seeing my Mum” I lied again.

“Okay oo, there’s no way you can go home soon. Today is Thursday right? The last bus went to the city yesterday. You have to wait till next week Wednesday. That is six days from now”she explained.

“Aah. I think Grandma want this spìritual boys to kill me” I said to myself.

“Okay ma” I answered her.

Almost all the house chores for that morning has been completed. Even the food has already been prepared.

I didn’t have the appetite to eat but to avoid answering questions, I forced the food down my throat.

I was in the middle of my meal when the thought of checking the frame came to my mind.

I stopped the food I was eating and went to where the frame was hanged.

When I brought the frame down and look at the picture of the two boys, the expression on their faced sacred me.

The expression they wore on their face now was different from the one I saw the last time.

One of the boys frowned his face like a hired kìller why the other boy was grinning and smiling like a serial kìller.

The look on their face sounds like, “You think you can escape right?. You are not going anywhere. You will finally be taken with us into the tree”.

After admiring the frame, I decided to look up to check the message waiting for me.

“You will be taken 5 days from now. There’s no way you will stop it”

I read and re read the message because I didn’t understand.

The moment I finally understood what the message meant, I widened my eyes in disbelief.

Five days from that moment will be my 15th birthday.

My father’s elder brothers were kìdnapped on their 15th birthday.
