Charles’s POV

After our wedding, we headed to Diana’s parent’s house for the reception. Diana’s mother had hired a black limousine with tinted glasses to ferry us to the mansion. On the ride there, I held Diana’s left hand with my right and was all smiles. She asked me what is making you smile like that? I told her that it was because she was now my wife and she said I know what you mean no more my fiancée this and that now it’s my husband. Then after about 30 minutes, the vehicle pulled over at the entrance of the Robinson mansion. Once we came down from the vehicle, the paparazzi came with their flashing camera lights and started asking us questions like Mr Anderson how do you feel getting married to your sweetheart and many others. I was about to answer when Diana’s father came out and said this is private property and if you have questions, please relay them through the proper channels and he dragged I and Diana into the house. The banquet hall at the residence was used for our wedding reception and when I and Diana walked into the room, the hall erupted into a round of applauds. Then the master of ceremony (MC) asked us to come up to the high table and we did. I and Diana were seated in the middle and the MC asked for the bride’s parents and Diana’s parents stood and walked to the table and took their seats beside Diana. The MC also asked for the groom’s parents and my folks came up to the high table and took their seats beside me. The invited guests started eating and making small talk. Then Diana’s father stood up to make the toast. He said I never knew this day would come and everyone in the hall started laughing. Then he stretched out his hand with a wine glass in it and said to my daughter who has found happiness, may you enjoy the rest of your life with your husband and may your house be filled with the cries of little children. He said to my daughter everyone and all in attendance clicked their wine glasses together. He asked us so where would you like to live now that you are married? I told Diana to answer and she said in California. Her father said so you want to leave I and your mother here in New York? Diana said the baby bird has to leave the nest sometime and that we would come visiting or they could do same. He agreed with her and said that the mansion in Beverly Hills’ is yours and Diana said thanks dad. My dad stood and said you leave the furnishing of the house to I and your mother and everyone in the hall clapped their hands together. My father said you kids know the reason why we insisted you two got married? I and Diana nodded our heads in the negative and he said that the reason was that he and Diana’s father wanted to effect a merger of the two companies that’s Robinson enterprises and Anderson enterprises. I said oh wow! But I asked him that both companies aren’t struggling so why the merger? He said that the merger was to join both companies as one and make them stronger. I said oh I see and he said when you return from your honeymoon, you both would be in charge of the company. Then my mother said speaking of your honeymoon, have you decided where you would like to go? Diana passed this one to me saying I’d let my husband answer this. I said I’d like to take my wife to London or Greece and I added haven’t decided yet and I asked Diana any preferences? She said you are passing it back to me that’s not fair and she added if I must choose I’d like to go to Greece. During the reception, I saw Henry Lillian’s brother looking at us and drawing in his book and I gave him a thumbs up and he responded with same. After the merriment, it came time for the bride and groom to take to the dance floor and we did. While we were slow dancing, the hall was dark with a spotlight shining down on us and after a while of dancing, Diana’s father came to us and asked for a dance with his daughter and I gave him that honour. After dancing, it came time to cut the wedding cake Diana and I stood in front of the huge cake and our folks stood beside us and we cut the cake. After doing this, the cake was taken into the kitchen at the house and was cut into pieces and shared amongst our guests. After a while, all the guests left and we were left alone with my parents and Diana’s parents. Later on my dad said that he had a meeting with some overseas investors and he and my mother left the Robinson residence. I and Diana helped in cleaning the house. Diana’s mother said that we shouldn’t worry about it that there are maids for that but I told her that we used their house for our wedding reception and the least we could do was to help in cleaning it. After the cleaning, I and Diana went to JFK international airport to get in a plain to Greece. When we got to the airport, my private jet was already fuelled and on the tarmac. After going through immigration and customs we made it to the jet. The pilots said to us welcome aboard Mr and Mrs Anderson and they said congratulations on your wedding and both I and Diana said thank you and they asked where can we take you today? I told them to take us to Greece. They fired up the engines and we were on our way to Greece with Diana in my arms
