Lillian’s POV

About 30 minutes after Charles left our house, I’d have to get used to saying that, my brothers returned from school. When they walked into the house, my immediate younger brother William asked so whose house is this? I said that it’s ours and Henry my mother’s last child asked but how did we get the money to rent such a huge and magnificent house? I asked and who told you that it’s rented? He said so how did we get the money to buy this house? I told them to sit down and I proceeded to explain the whole story to them not leaving out any detail because I had no secrets from my family and my brother William asked so Diana forgave you and even paid mum’s hospital bills? Henry added and Charles forgave you and even bought us this house? I told them that those two referring to Charles and Diana are one of a kind and that they are the best friends I’ve ever had and William looked outside the window and saw the cars which Charles bought for myself and mum and he asked I am sure that he bought those too? I said yes for mum and I. I told them that Charles said he wanted to see you both first thing tomorrow morning at his office and Henry said yes I’ve always wanted to meet Charles Anderson. I said oh good you would get your chance tomorrow morning and just then mum walked in with bags of groceries in her hands. I went to her and collected the bags and she said thank you my daughter and I went to keep them in the kitchen. Mum said oh hi boys and my brothers responded hi mum. Later on, mum fixed us a dinner of macaroni and cheese and she told me to fix the table for our dinner. I did and when the meal was ready she brought it to the table but before we started eating, she told me to say grace and I did. We ate in silence and when the meal was done I parked the plates to the kitchen and washed them. After dinner and washing the plates, I came out of the kitchen to find my brothers and mother watching television. I joined them and after a while mum said she was going to bed and she stood up but before leaving she said to show my brothers their rooms and she added make sure you guys go to bed early because you all have appointments with very important people tomorrow morning. After she had gone to bed, I showed my brothers to their rooms and bid them good night. I went into my room took a shower, brushed my teeth, said my prayers and went to sleep. My alarm woke me up the next morning, so I did my morning rituals, like brush my teeth, took a shower, dressed up in a black skirt suit, packed my black hair backwards, applied some makeup on my face before joining my family on the breakfast table. When I came out of my room and went to the dining room, I met my brothers already ready to go in fact they were just finishing up their breakfasts. So I went to the kitchen and picked up my breakfast of French toast, fried eggs and a cup of coffee which mum had made. Then I went to the dining room and sat down to eat. After my breakfast, I asked my brothers if they knew where they were going? William answered by saying who doesn’t know the corporate headquarters of Anderson enterprises? And I asked them how they would get there? They said they would take the bus. I on the other hand was going to take the subway because I hadn’t gotten my driver’s licence yet. We left the house not before our mother gave us hugs and kisses and prayed for us.

William’s POV

I and my younger brother Henry took the bus and arrived at the corporate headquarters of Anderson enterprises. The building was an ultramodern one made of glass all through. We walked into the building and met the receptionist. We told her that we were here to see Charles Anderson and she asked if we had an appointment? We said that he was expecting us. She asked for our names and we gave it to her. Then she picked up the office intercom and spoke into it for about a minute to someone I presumed was Charles, then she said to take the elevator to the 30th floor. I and my brother walked to the elevator, entered it and punched the digits to the floor we were heading to and the elevator doors shut. In less than 5 minutes, the elevator arrived at the 30th floor and we heard a ding and the elevator doors opened to a beautiful office with Charles’s secretary on her seat. She told us welcome and offered us seats on the sofa in the office. She said Mr Anderson would be with you shortly and she asked us what would you like to have while you wait for him? I said a glass of orange juice would be fine and she said and you? Referring to my brother Henry. But by this time, Henry was concentrating on his drawing book and I don’t think he heard her question. Only a slight nudge with my elbow brought my brother’s concentration out of his book and to us. Then I said to him she said what would you like to have while you wait for Charles? He said I’ll have whatever he’s having referring to me. The secretary stood and went to the tabletop fridge in the office and brought out a jar of freshly squeezed orange juice along with two glasses and a couple of cupcakes. She said we should taste the cupcakes and give her our honest opinions. I ate the cake and I said wow these are fantastic and I asked you made these yourself right? She responded yes and I told her that you should be a caterer and not a secretary and I swear I saw her blush and she told me thanks for the complement. Just then Charles’s voice came up on the office intercom and he said Julia please send in my next appointment and I asked that’s us right? She said yes that’s you and when Henry wanted to stand up his drawing book fell from his hand and wow what the secretary saw blew her away.
