Shockingly, Chief Chris, Princess and Angel are inside the same ward standing beside mother’s bed with tears in their eyes.

“Oh my Goodness! I’m finish today.” Chief Chris exclaimed stunningly.

“I’m done for!” He stated further.

“What’s going on here?” Henry asked confusingly.

“Isn’t that Princess’ father?” Daniel asked with mix-feeling.

“Yes, that’s him.” I replied confidently.

“Ola!” Princess called softly but I ignored her, she ran to me and hugged me passionately.

“This children of nowadays… hmmm” Mr. Martins exclaimed teasingly.

“Excuse me!” I whispered into her left ear and she slowly disengaged from me.

“Ola what’s wrong?” Princess asked.

“Mr. Man, after making us suffered in the hands of those merciless soldiers, you think you can go scot-free?” Daniel paused directing his statement to Chief Chris.

“Hell No! You’ve indeed done for.” He continued and he moved closer to Chief Chris.

“I have my eyes on you.” Daniel whispered into Chief Chris’ left ear and he angrily walked out of the hospital.

“Daniel! Daniel!!” Henry called repeatedly as he ran after him.

“Mother!” I called with tears in my eyes, I couldn’t help her situation, I looked at her unconsciously sleeping in the hospital bed, her breathing was abnormal, her sensitivity is far from gone, her stimuli went on strike, I was gravely sad and traumatized, I wish I could kill those people that cause this but many are still unknown to me.

“What are you doing here and why are you here?” I asked with some kind of husky voice, I rose on my feet and I look into the eyes of Chief Chris.

“Ehmm… uhmm…” Chief Chris stammered.

“Nevermind, what’s the nature of her sickness?” I asked impatiently.

“She has been like this for the past two weeks, the doctor said she has 50 – 50 chance of surviving, the nature of her sickness is not understandable.” Chef Chris elucidated.

“You know you cause all this; Mister Man, even if she survived I won’t forgive you, my spirit will curse you till I end up in grave but if she later end up as a ghost… (smile wickedly) I will avenge her death.” I spoke softly and I angrily walked out of the ward.

“Who are you to her?” Mr. Martins asked whispering.

“Ehemmm…” Chief Chris stammered as tears dropped freely from her eyes..

“Dad, what’s going on here? I don’t seem to get all these dramas.” Angel uttered confusingly. Mr. Martins hissed and he helped in conveying Daniel’s mother out of the ward.

“Father, remember you haven’t told me why you intend to keep my misfortune as a secret…” Princess notified but she was restrained from concluding her statement.

“Will you shut that gutter you call a mouth or rather I shut it for you.” Chief Chris blasted loudly and Princess shivered in fear.

“Father!” Princess called helplessly as she angrily walked out of the ward.

“What are you waiting for? Leave here right away.” Chief Chris uttered directing his statement to Puzzled Miss Angel.

“My doom is here…” Chief Chris uttered rhetorically, he fell on his knees and he held mother’s hands firmly, he cried and wept uncontrollably, he was very disappointed and ashamed of himself. Just then, the stage light faded off gradually but spontaneously.

LOCATION: CHIEF CHRIS POV

Chief Chris was deep in thought, he sat down inside a couch, drinking and smoking at a time. Princess came down from her room, her eyes were swollen, she has wept relentlessly. She still couldn’t believe she was raped, she only hears stories about rape victim but she is now a victim. Angel came into the house from the compound, she has been somewhere in the compound trying to figure out what’s really going on and where things had go wrong, but all efforts proved abortive, she was unable to answer any of her rhetorical questions, she was unable to fathom what’s really wrong.

“Father, why are you doing this to yourself, you understand everything but we are ignorant on this, after our arrival from the hospital you’ve been drinking relentlessly.” Angel cried out.

“Father, I guess you knew those people that raped me that is the reason you refused to open up.” Princess vocalized threatening.

“Uhm… Uhmmm…” Chief Chris sighed.

“And if you don’t tell me I won’t hesitate to kill myself and my spirit won’t forgive you.” Princess threatened alarmingly.

“You’d better kill yourself and stop threatening me girl.” Chief Chris uttered drunkenly.

“Sir?” Angel sighed shockingly.

“Don’t mind him Princess, I think he is in another world.” Angel started further.

LOCATION: MR. MARTINS ALMOST COMPLETED BUILDING.

A circle was formed by people sitting down; the house is quite dark because it has not been electrified. Only the disturbing and irritating chirping of birds and crickets could be heard from afar. Shortly, Mr. Martins broke the uninviting silence.

“You guys shouldn’t have left just like that…” Mr. Martins paused.

“But if I don’t leave the hospital I may end up killing that man there so I rather walk away.” Daniel elucidated with scorned face.

“I understand your stands Daniel; and I know only a fool will accept such an injustice judgement but you can’t take law into your hand.” Mr. Martins cautioned.

“Law doesn’t work that way sir… Chief Chris is a highly respected honorable, if the police are informed and involved, they can’t do anything because law doesn’t work against the rich and those in power.” Daniel elucidated calmly.

“You got to be kidding me boy, law surely work against the rich, every people is entitled to his or her own rights and powers, the beliefs in the mind of we citizen wouldn’t help to change this country for better, law is no respecter of anybody, accept that! The problem we have is that only few Law Enforcement Agencies are loyal and incorrupt, corruptions in the judiciary worsen everything, I know you got a point but still something can be done with the Law Enforcement Agencies.” Mr. Martin debated softly.

“I know something is surely wrong somewhere, what is that man doing in the hospital same ward for that matter? Who is he to Ola’s mother… these are the questions we supposed to answer in the hospital but you guys destabilized everything. Anyway, I believe the truth will surely open up very soon, but I’m suspecting the man.” Mr. Martins stated further.

“Sir, I want to scroll down the street, I am bored and bothered.” Daniel asked for approval from Mr. Martins.

“Sure, but you have to be careful because you’re still ‘wanted’ by the soldiers.” Mr. Martins approved and warned.

“I think I will just do same just to get some fresh and natural air.” I uttered and Mr. Martins nodded approvingly.

Daniel and I left the house for the street, we’re neatly dressed and neat. Mr. Martins has bought the cloth we wore, we’re gisting and chatting though unhappily. After walking about two kilometers away from the house we decided to go back home, but just then a feminine voice called from behind.

“Daniel!” A feminine voice called from behind. Daniel and I turned back to look at the caller before we talk to our heels but we’re surprised and stunned with the caller. (Guess who)
