LOCATION: ‘A’ DIVISION

Mrs. Benita bowed her head in dismay; she regretted her actions and blamed the devilish spirit that pushed her. Infront of her sat Mr. Anume, he shook his head pitifully, he pitied her but he can’t do anything to help her situation.

“I’m very sorry Mr. Anume.” She began and paused.

“I regret my actions and I pray you can find a place in your heart to forgive me.” She continued.

“Please forgive me.” She concluded with eyes soaked with tears.

“It’s okay and I have forgiven you and forget everything ma.” Mr. Anume replied.

“Thank you very much Mr. Anume, I pray I make it out of here, I vow never to go back to my evil deeds.” Mrs. Benita appreciated, prayed and promised. Shortly, a police officer came into the small cubicle.

“Sir, you have to leave now, she has to be taken back to the welfare.” The Corporal announced directing his statement to Mr. Anume.

“It’s okay officer.” Mr. Anume responded, he rose of his feet and bid Mrs. Benita goodbye.

NEXT DAY

LOCATION: CHIEF CHRIS POV

The rattles of glass cups and other kitchen utensils could be heard from afar, from the kitchen to be precise. Angel sat down inside a couch, she was watching a Tv program, and she was really engrossed in what she was watching. Shortly, she heard a loud screaming from the kitchen, she ignored the noise at first but when the noise became non-stop, she suspected something was wrong; she left the sitting room for the kitchen. Shockingly, she saw Princess rolling on the kitchen floor, she held her head firmly and she screamed continuously.

“Princess what’s wrong?” Angel asked confusingly.

“What am I going to do now?” Angel asked rhetorically.

She rushed to princess and she helped her up. Surprisingly, princess became quiet and calm, she looked at Angel repeatedly.

“Princess, what’s wrong with you? Why are you screaming?” Angel asked confusingly.

“Sister, I don’t know, this is the first time something like this is happening to me, I don’t just know.” Princess replied confusingly.

“You don’t know? But you behaved like somebody possessed.” Angel rebutted.

“Please spare me, I’m getting upset.” Princess excused and walked away angrily.

TWO HOURS LATER

Angel sat down inside her favorite couch, she had on her hand a fashion magazine and on the stool beside her sat comfortably a fruit juice, an empty glass cup and the remote controller of the GoTV, on the glass-made table sitting at the centre of the vast sitting room, she placed a pack of minimie chinchin and a bottle of groundnuts. She was really enjoying her leisure time to the fullest; she picked up the remote controller and changed the channel to a music channel. Though, she wasn’t really watching the Tv, rather, she was more involve in the fashion magazine in her hand. Shortly, Princess came down from upstairs, from her room to be more explainable, she walked majestically to the three sitters chair and she sat down calmly.

“Sister, you want to kill yourself?” Princess asked jokingly.

“As in?” Angel asked confusingly.

“With all this you’re eating.” Princess answered smiling.

“Funny you, all this can’t kill me, they will only make me fat.” Angel rebutted.

“Princess, I really want to know what is in that book father keep to himself.” Angel began.

“Same here…” Princess paused.

“Sister, do you know of any Ola?” Princess asked.

“Ola? What are you trying to insinuate?” Angel asked suspiciously.

“Angel, I had a dream yesterday night, I saw three people, two boys and a girl plus me making four, we’re all in school uniform of butter colour and light brown, the two boys were walking ahead of the girl and I, the girl told me she love Daniel and I also told the girl I love Ola, I woke up after this and wept softly.” She narrated and paused

“I hallucinated in the kitchen, the same dream I dreamed yesterday night. I heard myself telling the other girl, ‘I love Ola’. Later on, the other girl advised me to write a love letter to Ola and she would do same to her crush, Daniel, and that’s where the hallucination broke.” She continued.

“Sister, do you know of any Ola?” Princess concluded and asked.

“Ola? Did you see the faces of those you dreamed of?” Angel asked for more confirmation.

“No, their faces seemed dim and dusky, I was unable to see their faces, I just knew I talked with the other girl.” Princess answered.

“Hmmm… her amnesia ends soon.” Angel thought and smiled.
