But as she was bringing the food she prepared into the dining room, she saw her husband eating from another plate and his mother beside him.

“Dear, where have you seen the food you are eating, this is still your food in my hands now, what is happening” Kemisola said in shock.

” Is that your good morning” Iya Labake said to her looking at her with disgust.

“Am sorry ma, good morning” she replied kneeling abit but still visibly annoyed.

“You see when you were still sleeping, I had to prepare sweet Amala and Ewedu for my child I would not allow him to be hungry” Iya Labake said to her.

“But, dear, hmm, ehnn, what is this you are doing, you know I just told you to wait at the dining so that I can bring your food, am your wife, it is my food you ought to be longing for, why are you doing this to me, ehn, I should be the one caring for you and not mama” Kemisola said fighting back tears that had gathered in her eye.

” Eh eh, who told you I have no right to cook for my own child, I already told you am the first wife and you are the second wife, if you don’t want problem just accept it like that” Iya Labake said to her.

“Ife mi, say something now, will you be sitting there and eating that food while mine is left untouched ” Kemisola asked him.
