Kemisola’s head was boiling, she could not imagine that she would be experiencing something like that in her marriage. She was unhappy and felt sad as she laid on the bed looking at her husband who was already snoring.

” What kind of problem is this, huh. Now, am married still, am not enjoying the marriage just within some hours things have started to become sour in my life, where I have gotten it wrong. Hope I did not make a mistake in marrying my husband. But Olamilekan is a Christian now, a loving man but why is he not having his own say in his house. He is prayerful but what kind of influence is his mother using on him that is making him behaving like a child being controlled.” She bit her nail and used her teeth to cut a little as she was shaking her head on the bed.

” He is not even bothered about my feelings which is unusual of him, here, he is snoring, ehnn” She tried to remove the hand of Olamilekan from her body and tiptoed out of the bedroom to avoid waking him, so that she can move to the sitting room.

” Where do you think you are going, you better go back into your bedroom and sleep with your husband” Iya Labake shouted at her with a sign of disgust in her voice.

” Yeye woman, ehn, am a Christian, I pray very well, even received a vision about Lekan…yen yen yen, a Christian that is blind, don’t you know that if you are married to my son, you automatically become the second wife, see let me be straight with you, no one, I say again, no woman can spoil the relationship between myself and my son. Let that sink into your skull. Abi, am I too harsh ” Iya Labake faced the otherside as if she was talking to someone.

Words failed Kemisola as she could not utter a sentence, she knew she was already in a battle and it must be fought or she perish in the battle. After some minutes of silences, she rushed back into the bedroom but when she got there she met her husband still sleeping.
