When Kelvin heard the sound of the chattered glass he quickly ran to check what was happening.

A big blow to his face sent him landing on the floor. While Ukeh grabbed him on his collar and rained blows on his face.

A confused Kelvin had to defend himself as he picked up a small table knife and pointed it to Ukeh.

“Hey Bush what is your problem? What has gotten over you? Have you suddenly gone crazy? ” He asked.

Ukeh picked the picture that he saw and shows it to Kelvin.

“This is your Sheila right? Is this your Sheila?” He screamed.

A confused Kelvin looked at him and managed to answer.

“Yes, that is Sheila my wi…..

Another blow landed on his head before he could complete his statement.

“Nti, her name is Nti, Nti, not Sheila.

“Yes Nti is her African name, and that is what I called her whenever we were alone. But how did you know her name? Do you know her? Kelvin asked still obviously confused.

Ukeh started weeping.

“How could you? How could you may with a child. She is just a child, and you laid with her and even got her pregnant.

“But she is my wife…”

Ukeh wanted to punch him down again but this time he stretched the knife to him.

“Enough, enough Bush, I will not sit and watch you beat me up for what I don’t even understand. What is your problem?” Kelvin asks.

“You are my problem” Ukeh screamed.

“You Americans really have no concience. You call a thirteen years old girl your wife, small girl. You took advantage of her innocence and you impregnated her. You whites are all evil and wicked . You are all thesame.

You are wrong so wrong, Shelia and I love each other.

“Stop calling her Sheila before I break your bones, Her name is Nti”

“Bush can you calm down, I don’t know what it is but please calm down please.Listen, Nti was 13 when we she got here, but I married her when. She was already seventeen.

“Even if she is 20 she is still a child. And you have no right to take her.”

“But she is my wife?” Kelvin argued.

“Who did you pay her dowry to? Who handed her to you as a wife? She is your wife, who represented her family when you married her who? Ukeh screamed.

He wanted to punch him again but he quickly realized what he was doing and he held back. He dropped the plate he was holding and walked out of the room.

Kelvin was still in shock and did not know why Ukeh had acted the way he did.
