Most of the guys who were present had already bolted away just by hearing the sound of the siren.

The ambulance was the first vehicle to arrive at the sound. Kelvin was carried by some health officers in the ambulance and quickly rushed to the hospital.

Then came the police came. The made a quick run to the pub occupying the scene with a lot of policemen. The officer in charge asked Pebbles some questions and suddenly the drunkard and i were convicted.

They then asked Pebbles and Simone to sit in one of the police cars and we the convicts in another car.The drunkard struggled with the policemen who tried pushing him to their vehicle before we were sent to the police station.

As for me, i remained calm as two of the policemen escorted me to the police car.I tried explaining to the police officer in charge but he ignored me saying, “you have the right to remain silent or anything you say will be used against you in the court of law.

I knew i had no option left than to remain silent. I however beseeched with the officer in charge to allow me make a call to my lawyer but he refused.

He assured me That he would only allow me make That call when we got to the police station.

After about an hour’s drive, we reached the Central police station in Kumasi. One of the policemen asked me to pray for the guy, Kelvin who got hurt that nothing bad happened to him.

I had several discussions with him who explained things into details to me. He said that, should anything happen to Kelvin, his girlfriend, Pebbles would be forced to

lodge a complain which could complicate things. So his only advice for us was to pray that He be came okay.He finally made a threatening speech that made my stomach to turn and rumble.

The drunkard and i together with Pebbles were Then sent to a counter to write our statements in a notebook they offered us.

We were cautioned to write a summary of what really happened at the pub that night before they tried asking us series of questions.

After interrogating us, Pebbles was asked to leave her number with them for further interrogations before they asked her to go home.

Like the policemen, she warned us that, should anything happen to her guy Kelvin, we would have to meet her in the court of law. Pebbles actually made That threat before leaving the police premises.

Simone was also asked to go home and visit me the following morning. His face was drawn with pity for me. He prayed with me before leaving and promised to come see the officer in charge the next day for some talks.

The officer asked us to call our lawyers and complain to them of what had really happened to us which we did.

I called my lawyer’s line several times but He did not pick up my calls. That guy must have died or something. I sent him text messages imploring him to call back as soon as he could.

I didn’t forget to add the fact That i had been arrested by the police and was at their custody at the Central police station . The other guy arrested with me was lucky his call went through.

He explained briefly to his lawyer on phone who promised to come see him early the next morning at the police station.

We were asked to remove our shirts and trousers together with our shoes and watches which they kept in two separate drawers.

We were then asked by One police man to escort us to two separate cells where we spent the night…..
