I rushed out of the room slashing my long sleeve shirt on my shoulder,locked the door and hid the bunch of keys under a stone where Lucy could easily find them.

She already knew where I hid the keys whenever she was not around and I wanted to go out.

My only hope was that,the Holy blessed Mary should make the words that I heard on phone to be just a mockery to my winning a colossal amount of 2,000GH Cedis.

As I run helter skilter,I touched my pocket to have a feel of my phone but felt that nothing was in my pocket.

I placed my hand in my pocket and it was nowhere to be found.

I wasn’t bothered much because I remembered leaving it on the couch where I slept before receiving the call.

As the news hit my heard,I could no longer think of any other thing than to grab my shirt and run out.

So it was no news my phone was not in my pocket when I checked.

I run till my swift legs could carry me no more.I stopped several times before I found a Lotto Kiosk where I least expected.

I heard someone saying the winning numbers which made my heart to bounce.

I however ignored him and approached the lotto kiosk to see for myself,the winning numbers.

I refused to agree to what the man said because the monkey said,my eyes are my oracles,seeing is believing”.

Even though my chances of winning were minimal,my only prayer was to see the numbers that i staked,scribbled among the winning numbers.

There were many people in front of the kiosk where the winning numbers are usually written but because I wanted to see for myself,I strived pushing people aside,so I could have a clear view.

As I approached the kiosk,I could not bear seeing the numbers any longer which made me to faint;27-3-48-83-74 were the winning numbers scribbled in front of the lotto kiosk.

“He is awake,you should all come and see him for he is awake….Hurry,call the doctor too.Lucy screamed calling the other visitors which included my mother,Lucy’s father and some few of my friends who came to visit me.

“How are you faring Biggie,the doctor asked.I told him I was fine,just that I felt a little bit dizzy.

He adviced me to rest some more and asked that,my visitors ahould allow me to sleep.

They all agreed that I should have enough rest and promised to visit the next day.Lucy promised to bring me food when next they visit….
