Immediately I exit the compound I head directly to my friends place. I was scared, troubled, confused and threatened. I need an advise on what to do. I can’t just open my eyes and let another man raise my child. That will never happen.

Michael : Ay, there’s fire on the mountain

Taiwo : a very big trouble.

Me: what do you guys suggest I should do?

Michael : I think…

Taiwo : the only way out is…

Michael : to listen to Adesewa.

Me : I haven’t give so much thought about what she said.

Taiwo : I think you should.

Michael : the way I see it…

That’s the only way out.

Me: to run away?

Taiwo : yes.

Me : where will I start from?

Michael : no… You start a fresh

Me: hmmmm….

Michael :if someone is truly worth having in your life, you will go through anything to keep them there.

Me: hmm mm…

Taiwo : you have to do this or else you will lose everything.

Michael : completely

Me: hmmm..

Taiwo : you need to act fast, time is precious.

Me: thank you, I need to go now, I need to contact Adesewa.

Michael : okay, let us know as soon as you made up your mind.

Me: catch you later.

I left there and head home directly, to my out most surprise, I met Adesewa at my place.

Me : Adesewa what’s wrong? You seem a little edgy

Adesewa: am losing you.

Me: No you won’t.

Adesewa : I eavesdropped on my dad and Gbenga’s dad today, they were discussing on how to get rid of you.

Me: hun?

Adesewa : its horrible, you wouldn’t want to hear it. Ayo please we need to act fast.

Me: yes…

Adesewa : so?

Me: have gave in so much thought about what you said.

Adesewa : so?

Me: we are leaving tonight.

Adesewa : thank God, I love you so much dear.

Me: so how will you do it?

Adesewa : I will go home right now and pack some few things. I will be back when the day break.

Me : okay I will be expecting you dear.

I kissed her and she hurriedly go out. I entered my room and began packing some few things. I texted my friends about the latest development and they replied saying they will join me soon.

My friends arrived 10 minutes later and they help me pack some of my loads. Michael know of a driver, he called him and he bargain with him, he arrived in less than 30 minutes and my loads were packed to his car. Then we began waiting for Adesewa.

Exactly 11:30pm Adesewa arrived, I rushed towards her and hugged her passionately

Me: what took you so long.

Adesewa : its a long story, my father men are following me up and down, it wasn’t easy deluding them.

Me: so how do you do it.

Adesewa : am a woman, have you forgotten?

Me: oh

Michael : lover birds, I think its time you go.

Taiwo : am sad to see you go.

Michael : its hurt me

Both of them couldn’t hold back the tears. They try hard to hold it back but they failed. Tears were also running down my face too. Its sad to leave my best friends behind.

” taiwo and Michael ” I said, ” am very sad to leave you, but I need you to be strong for me, when we are gone General Adelaja will come after you two, he will torture you, torment you. Just for you to say our location, I need you to be very strong for me… Am sorry I will bring you so much pain, but no matter the distance between us our friendship will still be has strong as ever. Thank you so much for being a part of my life. Without you, life wouldn’t be so wonderful. As a great friend once said, if someone is truly worth having in your life, you will go through anything to keep them there. And now its the time to say goodbye. We will let you know of our location once we settle down. Goodbye ”

We hugged each other tightly and I bade them farewell. We left the town that night to an another state in the east. To start a new life…
