I cannot allow my daughter to marry someone like u! not in this life! so if u know wat is good for u, u better leave my house this instance before I do wat u might regret”, Betty’s father said to kelvin who made a face ”but sir! ”young man just do as I say before I stand up from here and do the worst”, Betty’s father cut him in ”my son don’t worry! just go, God will give u a woman who will love u for who u are! and as for u papa Betty, don’t come running to me for complain when the time comes”, Betty’s mother said looking at kelvin pitifully ”go and sit down woman”, Betty’s father said and stood up from the chair ”are u guys still sitting down on my chair? ok wait for me”, Betty’s father said and made to leave when kelvin and Paul walked out from the house with Betty’s father following behind laying curses at them, they came out and met Betty returning back from lecture

”papa good evening! wat is happening here? and u! wat are u doing In my house? she asked kelvin looking at him disgustfully ”my daughter! these men here came to asked for ur hand in marriage and even bold enough to wear bathroom slippers”, Betty’s father mocked, looking at their bathroom slippers frowning

”what?? are they mad? papa didn’t u tell them am not their class? and u!! so after I slapped u the other time u till have the gut to step ur legs in my father’s house! ok wait for me”, Betty said, ran inside and came out with a bucket of water and pour on kelvin and Paul’s body ”get out from this compound, I am not ur level! poverty stinky men”, Betty’s said, looked at them disgusting, hissed and went inside with her father following behind.

”shit! that girl and her father are so mean! jess! look at my body! guy run for ur life”, Paul said cleaning his wet body with his hands ”if only that Betty of a girl knew who is asking for her hand in marriage! hmmm!! she don’t even know u are a millionaire! One week later, Betty’s father came home with chief Rufus following behind looking at the environment of the compound ”chief chief! u are welcome to my house pls let’s go in”, Betty’s father said smiling as he opened the door and walked in with chief Rufus following behind ”chief chief! pls sit down and make urself comfortable”, Betty’s father said smiling as chief Rufus sat down looking around the house ”chief! wat will I offer u? Betty’s father asked smiling ”nothing!! I am vely vely fine! so where is ur daughter my wife to be”, chief Rufus asked smiling

”my chief chief! don’t worry! ur wife will soon return from lecture, I guess she will be on her way now”, Betty’s father said smiling like never before ”chief! I personally reserve my daughter for u because I know the both of u are destine together! chief chief”, Betty’s father praised ”oh that is my good father in law! don’t worry! when I mally ur daughter my angel, I will lenovate this ur house and buy u a bland new car! I am chief lufus! the onry international Igbo man who do import and export of goods! don’t tu wolly, I willie spoil u so much with money,” chief Rufus said ”aaaaah chief chief! That same day,.. Betty and Katy were returning back from lecture as usual, from nowhere kelvin bumped into them, Betty on seeing kelvin hissed and walked away ”hi Katy”, kelvin greeted ”hello!! pls don’t mind my friend and her mannerless behavior”, Katy apologize ”forgot about ur friend! it u I want to talk to! pls I want u to give me a listening ears”, kelvin said looking at Katy smiling.
