“Mum! I don’t get you, yes I know uncle Kinsley is your husband, but you saying that he have equal right with you, that I do not understand, please explain better mum “I said

Ok, I will explain to you what I mean by that, but first I want you to stop calling him uncle Kinsley, remember he is your step father, and from today onwards, I want you to be calling him dad “She said and I was surprised, why will my mother want me to be calling another man dad, just because he’s her husband

“No mum, I can’t call uncle Kingsley dad because he is not my father and cannot take my father’s place in my hea……….

“But I love you like my daughter, why can’t you do the same thing to me “uncle Kingsley said as he walked in, apparently he was evadropping on our conversation

“Why on Earth do you want me to call you dad? I asked him

Because you are like a daughter to me “he responded smiling, while my mother nodded in agreement of what he said

“I don’t know why I dislike this man, look at how he is smiling like somebody who have gone nut, anyway if calling him dad will make my mother happy I will do it, I love my mother so much and I don’t want anything to make her sad, but Kingsley bear it in mind that I don’t like you “I thought to myself self before speaking out “Ok mum, I will do as you said “I responded and my mother was happy, while uncle Kingsley smiled

“Thank you my daughter, but the main reason why I called you is to tell you that Kinsley my husband will be take control of the company, what I mean is that he will be the new CEO of RD company, remember he now have equal right with me “my mother told me and I was very shocked of what she was saying because is too sudden

“What! that can’t be true “I said in disbelief

“yes Pamela, he will be the new CEO of the company, I know he can handle it more than I do, that was why I want to put him in charge of the company and besides he is my husband “she said and I was speechless, I can’t believe my mother want to make uncle Kinsley the new CEO of the company, the company my late father laboured for, that my mother want to put another man in charge just because he’s her husband, uncle Kinsley was just there smiling, I know he’s happy of becoming the new CEO, I took my bag and left for school sad without saying anything.
