Anita stopped in front of Paul, watching him as he broadened his wicked grin, right before her is one of her many ‘nemesises’.

“What are you looking for here, I’m sure this is not a ‘how is she’ check” she said.

Paul : “Is that how to greet?” he said with a dangerous straight face.

Anita: hands akimbo that’s not answering my question.

Paul : you can think as much as you like, I’m just here to check on this pretty lady. And you know she’s not an ordinary lady to me he said with a smirk on his face

Anita : you must be very mistaken, because to you, she is an ordinary lady, but my daughter

Paul : are you sure about that? You don’t sound so sure, you know how close we were then, especially when Micheal goes on a business trip?

Anita : we were close then, I know, we had a fling of some kind, but that’s how it ends. Nothing came out of it.

Paul : “Nothing came out of it? Oh I see, nothing other than an elegant young lady, who by chance is unconscious right now and by luck on the bed beside me” he said flicking his eyes in a very ‘ununderstandable’ way.

Anita : You’ve got this all wrong, Sewa is not your daughter, she’s Micheal’s.

Paul : “Are you sure about that?” he asked, shaking his grooming finger at her just like he’s threatening her. “She’s my daughter and I want her, it seems you are fine with this whole issue escalating to a full blown issue?”

Anita : “Nothing is escalating to anything, she’s my daughter and Michael’s, not yours, I never got pregnant for you. Please, Paul I’ve messed up Adesewa’s life enough, let this lie, but the truth is she’s not your daughter”

That got Paul so furious that he walked towards the door, opened it and said

Paul : “All I want is what’s mine, I can never believe you, its high time she had a DNA test” he said nodding towards Sewa’s direction. Who lies numbly on the bed, oblivious of what’s happening around her, or was she feigning it?

Anita : “And Paul, then you were a perfect gentleman, she would have been yours if you were that ‘then’ you, but she can never be the daughter of blackmailer like you” she said.

Paul turned around and slammed the door forcefully so much it made Anita gasp, she couldn’t believe she pulled that off, but she’s not so sure of herself.

“Get out” Adesewa shouted.

She was drifting in space, all around her was dark and empty, she couldn’t remember how long she has been like that. She has no wings yet she’s drifting, she felt herself been pulled up gently but slowly towards something, the force pulling her is just like a magnetic force between two magnets, she keeps on moving, now she can hear voices but couldn’t pick any word, just like the voices are light years away, she could feel herself moving closer to the other ‘magnet’, suddenly she heard a loud ‘gbam’ and felt force pulling her so forcefully and sudden so much that it hurts.

She work up with a start to see that woman again, that devil incarnate, that dog, that incredulous b***h, who calls herself her mother. She lost her head and shouted…..

“Get out”
