A Twist of Fate - S02 E18

**

Ada has walked for few days without food and

water, her stomach ached her badly due to the

baby in her womb. She felt great pain. The

worse of it all was that there was no village in

sight. She came a place where there was

bamboo plantation and a bit space in between

it. She went to the space and kept her bag. She

exhaled and sat down slowly holding her

stomach. The saliva in her mouth is finished,

she had no water to drink, her throat was dry

and the sun was very hot. Anyways, her

pregnancy was not yet noticeable.. In her

mischief she slept off there placing her head

on her bag. As Usual, mosquitoe bit her during

her sleep. Suddenly, She heard foot steps in

the bush and woke up immediately.

”Who is there?” She asked but no one replied

”Who is there?” She asked with a high voice as

she continued hearing the footsteps. She

became frightened and she held her bag

tightly. Suddenly, she didn’t hear the footsteps

again. She began to breathe fastly. Before she

could know it, two boys jumped out from the

bush with sticks in their hands. Ada wanted to

scream but they warned her not to

”Shut up!!” They warned

”If you make any noise, we will kill you” They

said

”Who are you?” One of them asked her

”Please, I am a stranger. I was chased away

from my village and I have no where to go”

Ada said shivering

”Please, don’t hurt me” Ada pleaded

”Guy, that makes her a very good target” The

other boy said and they smiled as Ada was still

pleading.

”Keep quiet!!” They barked at her and tears

began to flow down Ada’s eyes

”Just lay down and co-operate calmly” One of

them said and Ada pleaded the more

”Please, I am a pregnant woman” Ada said and

they laughed

”Pregnant?? And your stomach is till this way?”

They asked and slapped her

”Liar” The other one said

”I’m not lying please” Ada said

”Guy, do this thing let me do my own and let’s

leave here” The darker guy said and the fairer

one crossed his legs on her and began to unbelt

his trouser. Ada tried to scream but they

covered her mouth

”Such a beauty can’t pass us by” The darker one

said touching Ada’s body. The darker guy

(Okoro) forcefully laid Ada down neglecting her

pleading. He drew down her skirt and raped

her. Ada moaned bitterly and screamed but

Ikenna (The fairer guy) covered her mouth so

no one heard her. Okoro made sure he didn’t

release his fluid into Ada. As he finished,

Ikenna raped her also. Due to the force of the

rape, Ada began to bleed badly as she cried and

screamed.

”Ikenna, this girl was saying the truth ooh, she

is pregnant” Okoro said

”And then? How does that concern me?” Ikenna

asked

”See, she is bleeding, let’s help her” Okoro said

”You must be stupid!” Ikenna abused Okoro

”But she will die here ooh” Okoro said

”We should have listened to her” Okoro added

”Nonsense, you better come let’s leave here

before anybody sees us here” Ikenna said and

ran out. Okoro ran after him and they left. Ada

kept on screaming untop her voice. The

bleeding became worse and painful. She

screamed very loud for help and her eyes

became dim and closed up finally.

Odunze, the great hunter of Omaku village

heard a loud scream from the place he was

hunting very close to where Ada was. He set his

gun at an aiming point and ran towards the

direction that he heard it. He searched for a

long time but found nothing. As he began to

loose hope of searching, he sighted Ada from a

far distance. He ran to her and was shocked

”Chineke m eeeh!!! (My God!!)” He exclaimed.

He lifted Ada’s hand but it fell weakly.

”Heii!! What will I do ooh” He thought. He was a

man in his early 70’s not too strong to carry

Ada. He screamed for help and luckily for him,

a fellow hunter ran in and helped him carry

Ada to his bicycle. He laid Ada on his bicycle

with her bag and managed to carry her home

althought it was not easy.

”Mama Chisom!!! Nne Chisom!!” He called his

wife from front of the house. Nneoma (Mama

Chisom) and Chisom ran out. They screamed in

fear

”Papa, who is this?” Chisom asked

”Nna anyi, do you want to put us into trouble,

what if the owners come looking for her and

finds out she died in our house?” Nneoma

asked

”Woman, shut up!! And come help me here

immediately” Odunze said and they came to

help him

”Caryy her, clean her up; Let me go and find

some meat in my trap. I pray she still lives”

Odunze said and Chisom brought a mat

immediately and they laid Ada. In fear,

Nneoma looked at Ada

”Stop starring at her and give her some

medications!!!” Odunze barked at his wife and

she began to run about..
