The Despised Wife - S01 E34

Start from the beginning  I shook my head at him with a grin, and went downstairs to the kitchen. Hillary had already made the batter so I started frying the pancakes on the pan.

There was a loud commotion, and in came 10 sleepy, but hungry kids. Hillary walked in with the twins in her arms and Cassy walking beside her. “Alright, everyone take a seat. It’s breakfast time for my little, hungry bears!” I said loudly. “Hey, I’m not little.” Freddy and Jeremy called out in unison. “Neither am I!” Natalie called out. I rolled my eyes. “Fine, everyone except you three.” The three of them are seniors in high school. I’m sad that they have to leave next year, but they have bright futures ahead of them. Freddy is planning on an art major, Jeremy is planning on a writing major, and Natalie is planning on a biology major. They worked so hard throughout high school and now I hope they get what they deserve. I already know Jeremy is going to go to NYU because he got a scholarship from there in a writing competition. Now, it’s down to Freddy and Natalie. I just hope they stay close by. “Aunt Heather! I’m hungry, can we eat now?” I heard five-year old Alison ask shyly. I ruffled her hair “Sure thing sweetie. Let us just fry these last pancakes and we’ll eat.” Ten minutes later, Hillary and I finished the pancakes, and we served all of the kids. There was a lot of chatter from everyone, but Natalie, Freddy, and Jeremy. Oddly enough, they were really quiet. “Is something wrong?” I asked, putting down my fork. They shook their heads and continued to eat quietly. I looked at Hillary across the table and she was frowning as well. Freddy looked like he wanted to say something. “Freddy?” I asked. ” I love to hear the chatter around the table but I love to hear your jokes as well, why are you quiet?” “Can we tell you after everyone leaves?” He asked nervously. “Uh, sure, if that’s what you want.” I said worriedly. After all the kids left to go do their own thing, and Hillary took the little ones, I sat down in the family room with the three of them.

The family room was basically a sort of living room on the first floor. It was pretty homey, with a ton of couches and chairs for everyone, and a fireplace. The walls were a warm red color, and there were blankets and pillows everywhere. “So what’s up?” I asked them. “Well you see, yesterday, while you were in the playroom, we noticed that William had left.” Jeremy said. “Yeah, Hillary told me this morning that he left after dinner.” I said, confused as to how that upset them. “Do you know where he went though?” Freddy asked. “No, but why does it matter?” I frowned. “It was on the news, he went to some gala with another woman. They were insulting you, saying that you don’t even reach the upper society’s standards, and that’s why William leaves you at home for these things.

Apparently, he has taken other woman before. But, what’s horrible is that William left a long statement saying that you were just a useless gold-digger and worse.” Natalie said sadly. “We recorded it for you, in case you wanted to see what he said. It’s important.” Jeremy said, handing me his phone. I played the video, and it showed William dressed up in a tux and holding hands with a woman. Natasha.
