Heather’s POV

I sighed in boredom as I lay on my bed. These past four days have been so boring. William was back to being cold and cranky, and I still don’t understand his whole act from four days ago. I shook my head of any thoughts of William. I was thinking too much about him. I rolled over onto my stomach. It’s a beautiful Thursday morning, and I was off work, but I didn’t have anything to do. I could go over to the shelter and visit, but most of the kids would be at school. I could go to my parent’s house, but I’m still a bit sensitive about the incident on Friday . They have been calling me and texting me to check on me, so I just texted them back saying I was fine and that I’ll call soon. Maybe I should go shopping with Chelsea? Chelsea Summers has been my best friend since first grade. She has always been there for me when I need her, and vice versa. Chelsea is engaged to the love of her life, Ethan Bravo. Ethan is also one of my best friends from high school. Back then, Chelsea, Jason, Ethan, Alex, and I hung out everyday. We try to do it at least every week now, but it’s hard with our different lives. Chelsea is a Victoria’s Secret Model, so she travels a lot, making it hard for us to meet up even every month. With big, innocent, hazel eyes and long, brown hair, she is stunning and can make men drop to their knees. Of course, Ethan is super possessive and overprotective of her. They are so cute together! I smiled as I thought about the good memories we had. But my thoughts were interrupted by my phone beeping. I had a text from William: We have a business party to go to so dress appropriately.

I’ll pick you up at 6. I sighed, looks like I’ll be going shopping after all. I dialed Chelsea hoping she was in the area. “Hey Heather!”, she answered enthusiastically. “Hey Chelsea! Do you wanna go shopping with me? I have a business party to go to and I need something formal.”, I asked her, hopefully. “Absolutely! I’ll be there in 5.”, she said excitedly and hung up before I could say anything. I chuckled and got up from my bed. Once Chelsea came, we both headed out to the mall. “So how’s William?”, she asked as I drove. I groaned and explained the events of the past few days. She was just as confused and we both decided to forget about it for now. We could discuss it over lunch. As soon as I parked, she literally dragged me out of the car and began power-walking , “Hurry up slowpoke, the grandma that was behind us is already at the door.” “Argh, Chelsea.”, I moaned. I didn’t enjoy shopping, but I didn’t mind it either. It was something I did when I had absolutely nothing to do. We walked into the first shop Chelsea saw. As we went through dresses, Chelsea was showing me the shortest dresses I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I didn’t even know that such short dresses existed. “Yo Chelse, those dresses don’t even cover my butt! Is that formal to you?”, I laughed. “Details.”, she waved her hand in my face. “Here try these on.”, she piled about 50 dresses on me. “Fun.”, I thought, as I walked into the changing room.

The first 3 dresses were terrible. They were neon green, neon yellow, and this light green color. I sighed and put those three aside. I stared at the fourth one. Compared to the others in the pile, this one was the longest and a bit daring. It was black, and the material was silky. The dress itself was strapless, and the back was slightly low. It had a slit going up my right leg, till the middle of my thigh. The side of the waist had a big snowflake that had cloth scrunched up around it. It was really gorgeous
