I went to bed that night tired, I was thinking and sweating wishing I never lied at all . What has village bridge got to do with me , was it me that broke it I thought all night .

The next morning I woke up with a wrinkle face .I was about brushing my teeth when grandma walked in .

” Good morning granny” I greeted .

” Chinekeeeeeh, what happened to your face ? Are you sure you slept last night ? She asked In astonishment.

Grandpa heard her voice and came out to witness the reason behind her clamored.

” Is everything alright ?” He asked .

” All is not well nnayi, can’t you see your son’s face is wrinkle like someone that hasn’t slept for days ?” She replied .

” Hmmm, is that why you are shouting ? I thought is something important . If it’s about his face let it wrinkle like elephant skin I don’t bloody care . His mate are out there hustling , making money buying their fathers cars , building houses he is here eating his grandpa’s money . Look at his friend karasco , the boy whom I thought has no future ambition is now rubbing shoulder with the richest man in Africa. I don’t want to talk because if I keep talking this boy will kill me one day with high blood pressure” grandpa hissed and walked away .

I was touched with Grandpa’s words , “but is it my fault that am jobless? ” I thought to myself.

God knows I have gone round the big ,big companies in this country but still yet no job . My eyes were heavey as tears kept dripping from my eyes.

Some months later I was coming back from the market when a hot Venza that was worth ten millionaire drove with speed and parked right in front of me .

Fear gripped me as I began running for my dear life . ” Hey , stop running ,hey , Daniel ” the unknown person shouted my name .

I didn’t stop instead I kept on running home , I was walking faster and running at the same time when the person in the venza speed on and stopped right in front of me . I couldn’t run anymore cause I was tired .

” If na to die make I die ” I said to myself.

The person came down from the tinted venza , I turned to see who the person was but only to find out it was Amara. ” Why are you running away? She asked in amazement.

” Oh, so is you , i didn’t know . I thought it was the kidnappers, so I was trying to run for my dear life,you know no place is safe in this country . ”

She laughed and said ; ” where have you been ? Ada has been trying your lines but none of them is connecting what Happened? ” she asked .

” Nothing much Amara , just that I lost my phone while coming to the village ” I replied .

Amara smiled, her smiles are sexy as her face were shinning , she wasn’t like this when I first saw her. She has completely changed “money is good ooh ” I said to myself.

” Anyways karasco has helped Ada in finding a job in the city , she is now the general manager of lion bank . You know she studied accounting. And she has been busy with work that was why she couldn’t find time to locate your way around all this while . Karasco your friend has been helping people get a job in the city . Why not go to him and table your problem to him ” Amara advised.

” So karasco my friend has turned his back on me, just because of the little misunderstanding we had months back . He has even gone to help people that don’t know how we both hustle and drank garri together ” I thought to myself as tears dripped from my eyes .

” Are you crying Daniel ? You should be happy that your friend has made money and that your girlfriend Ada is now working in the bank as a general manager in the city ” she spoke in amazement.

” Am not crying . I just thought of something ” I replied her with a deep breath .

” Hop in let me drive you home , am sure you are heading home ” Amara asked .

” Sure ” I replied .

She dropped me right in front of my gate and gave me Ada’s card , saying I should call her . I collected it and pocket it on my front pocket. I was about going in when she counted of cash and give it to me .

” Thanks a lot , am very grateful” I replied her wearing a Smalling face .

” Make sure you call Ada , she is desperate to hear from you , she really missed you ” she spoke as she drove off .

My body became weak as I couldn’t walk inside the compound . I sat down by the gate and began to think about my life .

” If my best friend could help people he knows nothing about why can’t he forgive me and help me his friend. What have I done wrong sef? Just because of the minor problem we had months back is that reason enough for him to forsake me his friend ? No na lie I swear ”

I thought to myself and got up from the ground and went inside wrathfully. I went packing and forcing my clothes to the bag . Just then Grandma walked in.

” I heard sounds, is everything ok” she asked in amazement.

” All is fine grandma ”

” if all is fine then ,Where are you going to forcing your clothes to your bag ? I don’t like your mood ” she added.

” All is fine grandma . I have decided to go back to the city to live my life . I will come when I have made money ” I replied her and find my way to the city .

The next day I landed at the city and decided to go back to karasco’s house . If he wants to kill me let him kill me . As for job he must help me .

I got to his house and knocked at his gate very loud in anger .

Just then I heard a voice . ” Who is there that wants to break down the gate ? I kept quiet and kept on knocking the gate very hard .

Just then the soldiers opened the gate when they saw me they all shouted ” you again ? You are a dead man ”
