“You are lusting after her. That’s not love” the Lord said.

“I brought her to your life to straighten things up in your life. She’s like a pressing iron in my hands. I have used her to smoothen some rough edges in your life such as your dressing, adornment, interpersonal relationship with sisters, how you talk etc. Remember, that day she came and exposed your pride. I was there. Remember, the day she came and practically corrected you on the message you preached one Thursday. I spoke through her. Remember, that day she met you and that your female course mate. That your course mate had planned to seduce, defile and disgrace you because you preached too much in the department. I have to lead my daughter, Faithfulness quickly to where you were. Remember how she stood there while you were discussing with the lady. That lady couldn’t do anything again because of Faithfulness. She’s in your life not for marriage but to mould you. She there for your emotional balance and Spiritual literacy. I place her in your life to humble you and to make understand what it takes to be a man before a woman. She is not your wife.” the Lord said.

I was broken instantly. Indeed, this sister has been like a backbone to me.

No other sister had been bold to confront me when I’m in the wrong like this sister.

That day she came into my office, the way she sat down sends a signal to me which made to prepare for the next lashing.

“Bro. David, good afternoon” she greeted me. This was the first time this sister has ever called me by my name.

“Good afternoon sister Faithfulness. How are you doing?” I asked her pretending to hide my confusion.

“GC, what is going on? I don’t understand. GC… what’s going on in the church?” She said this time almost crying.

“Ehn…. sister, calm down….calm down” I said trying to calm her down.

“No ooo…I will not calm down. Ha…ha …GC….sisters fighting because of you? When did all these nonsense start? When????? I just can’t believe this…..” She said and began to cry out…

Ah….I really felt her pain and burden. I didn’t know what to say again. I tried to explain to her that I am innocent about everything.

One thing about this my beloved sister, is that she believes everything I tell her. This is one part of her that really surprised me.

“GC….I know you are innocent. I know you very well, but what I can’t understand is what will make two sisters who are key leaders of the church to engage themselves in a fight because of a brother???…. GC….you need to call for a special seminar on this matter, or rather organize a serious all night. This nonsense must stop!” She said as she stood up to leave.

She came back again.

“In fact GC, I need to pray for you” she said with all boldness.

I was surprised. She’s never been this bold before since I’ve known her, nevertheless I humbly knelt down for her prayers.

My God, I felt the burden of a woman groaning for her son’s deliverance that day as sister Faithfulness poured out her tears on my head in fervently prayers. She prayed for almost an hour with her hands on my head.

My knees were aching due to the prolonged prayers.

After the prayers, she asked me a surprising question….

“GC, please, speak plainly and don’t hide anything from me in what I’m about to ask you now” she said as she released me from my knees and I sat down.
