For some days, I’ve been trying to see Cynthia but anything I got there, I was turned around by Fulani, it wasn’t his fault, Cynthia ordered him not to allow any person with my looks or name into the house or he’ll be fired. So he had no choice but to obey.

While I was fighting desperately to win Cynthia’s love back, another battle ensued, Mr. Jacobs had already sued me to court and I was to bring a lawyer to attend my case, Finding a lawyer wasn’t the problem but getting a good one is the real issue.

So my brother Bill and I found one, he’s name was Jericho, he seemed quite smart and capable and even with the way he dressed, you could tell this way a professional lawyer so we hired him.

Monday morning on the appointed day of the trial we arrived at the court as early as possible waiting for the Judge. While we waited, Jacobs and his niece walked in giving me a crooked smile, They walked up to me to tell me something.

Jacobs Johnson, I hope you’ve come prepared?

Johnson Same here! What do you want?

Jacobs There’s still time for you to get out in all this… Agree to marry my niece, then you’ll also get your job back with your salary doubled… If you do this, we’re good.

Minutes later, we went into the court room, and waited for the Judge for he had arrived, seconds Later, he walked in and he sat on his seat… The cases were announced and soon the action started.

Mr. Jacobs lawyer was a lady, Mrs. Tosin. God she was very attractive and hot, she presented her clients case before the court and called Aline as witness, Aline was asked to swear before the court to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.

She asked Aline questions about our love life and she answered truthfully but when it came to the breakup and raping part, she dropped a huge mountain of lie about me, claiming I was possessive and jealous, she said awful things about me. The b---h even cried out loud.. I couldn’t believe it.. It was so real you’ll never know it was crocodile tears… What a b---h.

The Judge shook his head looking at me in an awful manner, the next witness was Winston, the bastard too told legendary lies about me, I just couldn’t believe this… Too bad this was court, I would have beaten that guy to a pulp..

One by one different people came as witnesses and told lies about me including Vicky, after they were done giving their false testimonies.. Tosin called me to interrogate me. I was made to swear to tell the truth nothing but the truth, after that, the questions began..

Tosin Tell me Mr. Johnson, since when did you know Aline?

Johnson Two years ago.

Tosin How did you guys meet? Was it by fate or…..

Johnson We met by accident… Luck wasn’t on my side that day.

Another laughter went off, people were busy laughing to their hearts content… Aline and Jacobs were still getting angry as if they were going to blow…

After that, Tosin didn’t say anything else, I was asked to go back to my seat and I did… Soon Jericho went and did his own part, seeing him walked confidently assured me that the case would be over within minutes but as he started presenting his case, that’s when Day turned to darkness.

The idiot was busy messing around asking stupid irrelevant questions, it was as if he wasn’t trying to win the case, I watched in horror as this guy flopped, What a disgrace.

As we’re talking, another witness was called by Tosin to testify against me… As I saw who it was my mouth dropped… It was Mr. Gesinde my former principal.. What was he doing here?Even my brother Bill was shocked to see him. While I was busy get shocked seeing him here, that’s when it hit me! Could it be…. Impossible!? So Gesinde was Jacobs brother, it makes sense now…. Oh God, another awful experience of my past catching up to me.

As he sat on the witness box, Tosin began to ask him questions about me and he answered them, he of course lied and added more Maggi to his story… I couldn’t believe it, Gesinde this old pig was really here… Unbelievable.

As soon as his turn was over, I was called once again, to be questioned.

Tosin Johnson… Do you know Mr. Gesinde?

Johnson Yes, he was my principal in secondary school.

Tosin Hmm, I see he claims that you were responsible for ruining his career and marriage was it true…

As soon as I said that, there was a low cry among the people in the court room, Mr. Jacobs and Aline began to smile like billy goats, I could lie and deny but I didn’t, I swore to say the truth and that’s what I’m going to do.

Minutes later, the Judge decided to adjourn the case for next week… Sooner after that, we left the court to go home..

As we’re outside, I stood with Bill watching as Gesinde and his damned relation talking things out with Tosin and Jericho, I wonder what that bastard was doing there… Soon he came running towards us with a smile on his face.

Johnson What were you doing there?

Jericho Sorry, I was talking to Tosin.. But don’t worry about it… Next time, we’ll surely win the case…

You know… Sometimes in life, you have to be aware of your surroundings and the people around you, because this world is full of deceit and lies, and before you know it you’ll be drown in misery.

Soon, I arrived at her house, Fulani as usual was in front the gate eating some food, as he saw me, he became alert….

We stood watching each other for a while, just then Cynthia tried to close the door but I stopped her and pushed her in.

She reached her phone, and called the police, I immediately got up and smacked the phone from her hands, I grabbed her and pushed her on the couch climbing on to her.
