Late in the night… Rose soars into the sky flying and searching for something… After a while, she finds what’s she’s looking for and lands at the place…. It was the place where Lucas is being buried alive my Christen… She walks around the rock and smiles with evil intent.. After that she touches the rock making it to turn black and then the rock disintegrate into the air..

She stands over the sand and begins to chant a magic spell around the place.

Rose Devils of the depth, Demons of the underworld , bring out whatever that’s buried deep down where only you can reach..

After that, The whole area shakes violently as if an earthquake was going to erupt and the came the booming sound… BOOM!!!!!

The ground shoots up a lot of stuff from the ground and among the rubble emerges Lucas.. His body is covered in maggots and earth worms.. Lucas rolls over the ground shouting and gasping for breath.. As he sees himself on the surface, he jumps back clutching on to a tree close to him as he breaths faster.. After a while, he notices the presence of Rose, who stares at him with a cold deadly face..

Lucas (panting) How.. Did you… Know.. Where.. I.. Was…

Rose Just look at you.. Claiming to be strong but you were defeated by my weak sister.

Lucas She’s not as weak as you think.. That girl is strong.. She even blocked my magic.. She used the trinity seal on me.. I can’t use magic..

Rose Well at least you have the Cradle of life on your neck..

Lucas Your sister has the final piece… I need to have it..

Rose She does huh?

Lucas Yes but if I may ask.. Why? Why did you save you?

Rose SAVE YOU? DON’T GET THINGS TWISTED YOU FOOL..

Rose rushes at Lucas and smacks him hard on the face.. The impacts sends him flying across the forest crashing into trees.. Lucas groans in pain as he lays on the ground.. Rose stands above him and matches his neck..

Rose Listen to me filth… Things have been happening under my nose, and I was busy having fun to notice… My sister Christen is in love with a human… CAN YOU IMAGINE… LOVE? SHE’S IN LOVE… WITH THE ONES I DESPISE THE MOST! I can’t let that happen.. The reason why I saved your smelly a** is so because you can finish what you were planing to do… KILL THOSE MISERABLE HUMANS….

Lucas ABOMINATION!! A witch and a human.. This cannot be… Let me kill the human… I’ll tear him apart…

Rose NO! you handle what you’re supposed to do and I’ll handle both the human and Christen….

Lucas But….

Rose DIDN’T YOU HEAR WHAT I JUST SAID? THE HUMAN IS MINE FOR THE KILLING.. IF YOU TRY TO GET HIM BEFORE I DO.. I’LL MAKE SURE YOU STAY PERMANENTLY IN THE GROUND.. THIS TIME YOU’LL BE DEAD FOR REAL.. AM I CLEAR?

Lucas As you wish…

Rose. Good.. Now go clean yourself.. You stink awfully.. And make sure you finish what you started this time. Everyone thinks you’re dead and I want it to stay that way.. Get the job done.

Lucas Sure… But do you know where the human is..

Rose No… But I’ll find him and I know where to start…

After that Rose disappears from the place leaving Lucas alone.. Lucas shouts in anger stamping his feet to the ground… He begins to work away slowly since he can’t use his magic anymore.. As he walks away, he curses Christen under his breath.

Lucas D--n you Christen… Not only has she thwarted my plans but she’s also hurt my feelings as well… Falling for a human.. Imagine.. A MERE HUMAN? what could that weakling possibly give her… Curses… Curses.. I can’t bear to imagine the fun that human has had with her… I’m sure he must have used her magnificent body to satisfy his lust over and over… ARRGGGHHHHHHHH!

I will stay quiet for now.. But I will make sure I hurt that human.. As for Christen, I will have my way with her one way or another. And if I can’t have her, NO ONE WILL.

The next day… Rose arrives at the campus where Christen and Riley are, She uses a transformation spell to disguise herself as a young version of herself… She blends in with the crowd as if she’s a student of the campus… She walks around the place hoping to catch a Glimpse of her sister…

Unfortunately for Christen, Rose sees her with Riley in a hall holding hands as they walk and laugh.. Rose grinds her teeth in anger, she had almost lost control of herself but she calms down eventually as Riley and Christen enter the lecture hall…

Rose tries to follow them but seeing her presence would be notice by the class, she cancels the idea.. As she walks away she tries to find a way to know about Riley.. As she was deep in thought, she bumps into Khalid and Tina..

Khalid Sorry… We didn’t mean to…. Wow..

Tina What’s wrong?

Rose Why are you staring at me?

Khalid Sorry .. You just look awfully familiar with Christen…

Tina Yes o, the resemblance is uncanny .. Are you guys related?

Rose Yes… I’m a.. Uh.. Cousin of hers.. Please do you know the guy she’s dating.. I can’t remember his name..

Khalid His name is Riley.. He’s a friend of mine..

Rose Please do you know where he lives..

Khalid Sure.. Let me wrote down the address for you..

Tina Wait.. We don’t even know her and you’re giving her Riley’s address.

Khalid What are you talking about? She’s Christen’s cousin, so there’s no harm in giving her the address.. She’s not a terrorist

Tina Fine do whatever you want..

Khalid writes down the address and gives it to Rose.. She collects the address and walks away with saying anything to them.. As she’s about to leave the campus… She spots Lionel, standing close to the parking lot… She looks surprised to see that he’s well and okay.. She then goes to him to sweet talking him back into meeting up with her so they could continue what they were doing. As she’s about to reach there, She quickly transforms back to her normal self.

Rose Hey Lio.. Its been a while.. I’ve been trying to call you.. What’s up?

Lionel Do I know you? And how did you know my name?

Rose Don’t be silly.. You’ve met before you and I, in my place and we did some fun things, remember.. I even gave you a lovely Rolex..

Lionel Look, I don’t remember you and I don’t know you.. And stay the hell away from me..

Out of Annoyance.. Rose puts him in a trance and touches his head to see what had happened to him.. As she sees through his memory.. She sees everything that’s happened to him recently … She sees Christen and Riley in his memories and She finds out that Lionel is Riley’s brother.. She looks on but there was no memory of her and what they did in his head.. And that’s when she knows what happened and why she wasn’t able to drain Lionel anymore..

Rose D--n you Christen….. So you’re the little b*tch behind all this…. Not only are you in love with that wretched human but you’re also helping him out as well and all this because of what? LOVE?….

Rose lets go of Lionel’s head but before that he remove a tiny piece of his head from his head and goes away..

As she reaches a safe spot where no one could see her, she summons a dark spirit from the shadows around her.. The shadow begins to rise till it shapes itself and bows in front of Rose.

Spirit What is it you seek Mistress?

Rose You see this hair.. Smell it’s scent and find out where it comes from or where its stays.. And when you do keep me informed.. Understand?

Spirit Yes mistress..

Rose Now…. GO!!!

After the spirit disappears out of sight.. Rose enters her car and drives away… Soon she arrives home and enters the house kicking off anything that stands in her way.. Oliver who is present at the time begins to wonder what happening to Rose..

Oliver Is everything okay?

Rose Is everything okay? (Laughs) No.. Little brother.. EVERYTHING ISN’T OKAY… OUR SISTER HAS DECIDED TO BRING SHAME AND HUMILIATION TO OUR FAMILY BY FALLING IN LOVE WITH A HUMAN..

Oliver Ohh.. That’s sad..

Rose quickly turns and stares at Oliver, Oliver quickly turns his eyes away from Rose but it was already too late.. Rose rushes at him and grabs his throat..

Rose Tell me.. What is it you’re not telling me? Do you know about Christen’s treachery?

Oliver (chokes) No…I.. Don’t…

Rose LIAR!!! I know you’re hiding something…. Tell me or I’ll snap your neck..

Rose tightens her grip on Oliver’s neck.. Oliver struggles to break free but he is no match for Rose’s strength.. He gasps for breath and he could feel his neck bone cracking slowly.. Finally, when he’s had enough.. He spills the beans to Rose.

Oliver I’ll… Tell… You.. (coughs)

Rose TALK!!!!

Oliver Believe me, I tried to stop her but she refused to listen.. It seems like she’s attached to her human lover.. Please don’t hurt me.. I have no hand in this..

Rose Good boy… Now there’s something I want you to do… Don’t tell her about what just happened cause she will hide that human if she knows….. And if I find out that you did…. You know what’s coming…

After that Rose goes back to her room and lies down on her bed seething in anger and rage.. Minutes later.. Her spirit appears and tells her of the location she seeks.. After the spirit fades away, She smiles and laughs wickedly as she thinks of what to do about Riley..

This past few days has been fun.. Not only was Christen approved by my mother, she was also a regular visitor as well. Christen and I had our fun together, and bonding closer than ever..

My mom too had grown fond of her and she’d always ask me to invite Christen to the church on Sundays.. And you all know how Christen is when it comes to that kind of thing.. At first she’d make excuses but eventually when she couldn’t find any means to avoid my mom, she agreed and started following her..

It was hard for Christen but she soon got used to it.. All the pains she was getting and feeling was no longer bothering her.. And the best part she was starting to have interest in the Christian faith.. But she maintained her pride as a witch…

So one evening as we were laying under the Iroko tree, Christen and I were talking and something happened between us that made us both make a stupid decision.

Christen Riley..

Riley Yes…

Christen What do you think about us?

Riley I don’t understand..

Christen What I’m saying is.. Do you have any hope that we might you know get married?

Riley Sure.. But you said it yourself that it isn’t going to work..

Christen So you’ve given up then?

Riley I can’t.. I love my family, despite how weird they are.. Especially my mom and brother.. Look we don’t have to run.. We could stay here.. Mom wouldn’t know..

Christen What are you saying.. We can’t be together if we stay here.. All the years of my life, I’ve never had something this good before.. Ever.. I do like your family but if the witches find out about us.. You’ll be dragging your mom and brother into it as well.

Riley Look.. I love you and I would really love to be with you forever but what you’re suggesting.. Is just too much to sacrifice..

Christen and I thought Love meant sacrifice?

Riley Forgetting the people you love and cade about is not sacrifice… Anything but that.. Family comes first..

Christen (shouts) YOU’RE THE ONE WHO’S SELFISH..

I’VE RISKED EVERYTHING, BROKEN EVERY D--N RULE OF THE WITCHES LAW JUST TO BE WITH YOU AND NOW YOU CANT DO THE SAME FOR ME…

Riley Look just because you don’t like your family doesn’t mean I hate mine.. There are a lot of things I can do for you Christen.. But when it comes to family.. I can’t..

Christen You know what.. Forget it.. Its over between us.. If you can’t see the sense in what I’m saying.. Then what we have between us is over..

Riley Okay.. That’s fine by me.. Good night..

That night was a terrible night for the both of us.. After Christen declared that she was done with me.. We went our separate ways with looking back at each other.. I soon reached home and went straight to my room.. I laid down on my bed thinking about what just happened.. My relationship with Christen was over.. And it just happened so fast.. God why? Why? Why now when our relationship was about to reach its peak.

As I was deep in thought…. My phone rang, I checked to see who it was and it was Khalid.. I was no mood in answering the call but I couldn’t let my frustration stop me from talking to my friend.

Riley Hello.. Khalid.. How’s the evening?

Khalid Hello Riley.. I’m fine o.. Have you heard the latest..

Riley What latest?

Khalid You know Rukky hasn’t been in Campus lately..

Riley Ehn? So…

Khalid Well, her corpse has just been found man.. She’s dead..

Riley WHAT?? HOW?

Khalid That’s the question everyone is asking… Her body is completely shrunken.. You could even barely recognize her.. Its just sad man.. What a waste..

Riley Yeah.. So sad..

Khalid Well, good night.. Tomorrow will be her burial and as her ex.. You should come and pay your respects..

Rukky’s death shocked everyone in campus.. Both students and faculty.. Though she wasn’t in good terms with anyone but her death was just too awful.. That morning in school, I wasn’t myself.. First I had to cope with the breakup and now Rukky’s death.. The pressure was just too much to bear…

Christen didn’t come to school that day.. I was hoping she would show up but she didn’t.. I even had hope she would show up for Rukky’s burial but I remembered it wouldn’t be possible because of the bad bloods they’ve had..

As soon as school was over.. Some of the students and the staff attended her burial.. I too attended it and I stayed till I saw her coffin being dropped inside the ground.. I couldn’t watch and see the way her parents were crying.. It was just so sad.. I went and gave them my condolences and after that, I stuck around the place for a while..

As I was standing around watching people, I saw a lady staring me.. Man, she was beautiful.. Absolutely beautiful.. But there was something about her, that seems familiar.. Just then Solomon began to speak to me through my subconscious..

Solomon Riley.. RUN!!!..

Riley Solomon.. What is it?

Solomon I said.. RUN.. LEAVE THAT PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE..

I had to as he said and quickly disappear from the place… I soon got to the main road to see if I could get a taxi but there was no one in sight and it would take some time for me to get to a crowded place..

Riley Solomon, what is that all about?

Solomon Christen’s sister is here.. I can feel her presence.. And she’s up to something.. I know it.. Its not her style to show up in a place like this..

Riley You mean Rose.. Don’t be ridiculous..

Solomon Fool.. That lady staring at you at the funeral.. Its her..

And that was when everything came back to me.. That face.. I remembered it now.. Lionel had shown me her picture once.. So she was the one.. The dreaded Rose, christen warmed me about.. But what could she be doing here.. Could she have been the one responsible for Rukky’s death… And why was she staring at me…

As I was running on the side of the road.. I saw something zip pass me like a bullet.. I turned around to see if I was being followed but I saw no one.. But as I turned and faced forward… I saw someone a few steps away from me.. From the shape of the person, it was feminine.. Her back was turned towards me.. I was afraid really because.. The road was empty and there was no where to hide, so where could this lady come from..

I stood silently without saying anything.. After a while.. The lady turned around and as I saw her, my heart jumped.. It was Rose.. Christen’s sister… Her showing up here could only mean one thing.. She knew about me and Kirsten.. She stared at me with an evil smile on her face with sent chillings down my spine.. My legs felt light and I couldn’t move.. After she was done smiling, she began to laugh mischievously for a while and then her face twisted in anger , Her look was mean and deadly, I wanted to run but her presence itself was fearsome enough it made my body weak.. She measured me with her eyes in disgust and fate that she spoke..

Rose You there… You’re Riley?

Riley Yes… And who are you?

Rose (laughs) I’m your doomsday, Your angel of death and your ticket to the afterlife.
