That night after Monica saved Steven from a brutal death, Abubakar helps her carry Steven into their house.. Abubakar orders his wife to dial the ambulance’s number to come and take Steven to the hospital.

Abubakar Subhanallaah! Elena quick.. Call for the ambulance .

.

Elena Okay..

.

Monica (panicking) Please tell me he’s going to be alright? Is he?

.

Abubakar Calm down woman.. He’ll live if the ambulance gets here in time.. Tell me what happened.

Monica I-I-I……

.

Abubakar Monica focus.. Did you see who did this?

Monica No, they were wearing masks.. But I knocked one out..

Abubakar Tell me what happened?

But Monica wouldn’t talk.. Seeing how fazed she was, he decided to give her some time to compose herself… Abubakar went on and called the police to report what had happened after that he went and secure the other man that Monica had killed to see if he was alive.

Minutes later, Both the ambulance and police showed up at the same time, The ambulance takes Steven and Monica to Triumph hospital and while Abubakar had to deal with police men.

Minutes after Steven was admitted at the hospital, Monica stood waiting at the reception, praying silently that Steven should be alive..

A little while later, The nurse called Monica into the doctor’s office, Monica hurriedly went in and asked about Steven’s condition.

Monica Doctor Is he going to be alright?

Doctor Calm down madam.. He’s going to be alright.. Are you his wife?

Monica Uhm.. Yes?

.

Doctor Well madam, your husband will be okay, But he needs to rest, he had received some hard blows on his body especially the rib area.. And he’s lost quite a lot of blood..

Monica So what are you waiting for?

Doctor We have no blood donors at the moment but you could use yours if..

Monica Okay, I’ll give him my blood.

Doctor Okay… Follow the nurse to drain some of your blood and she’ll test it to see if you’re both compatible.

Monica follows the nurse and is drained of her blood, Fortunately her blood doesn’t have any issues, so The nurse put her blood bag on the transfusion tube to be transfused into Steven.

After that, Monica stays by Steven’s side all night watching over him, she holds his hands, praying silently that God should save him.

The next morning, Abubakar and a police officer come to the hospital to check on Steven.. They were shown the room where Alex is and they head straight for it..

As they enter, They see Monica asleep close Alex’s bed holding his hand.. Abubakar looks up and sees the blood that is being transfused into Alex.. He begins to wonder if Monica was responsible for this.. Well he’s about to find out.

Abubakar wakes Monica up and she soon wakes up rubbing her face.. She looks up and sees Abubakar and the police man.

Abubakar Good morning, Monica.

Monica Good morning..

Abubakar How’s Steven?

Monica He’s going to be okay.. The doctor suggested he needed a blood transfusion so I offered mine..

Abubakar You shouldn’t have gone that far to donate your blood.. You’re injured as well.

Monica Its been dome.. Anyways what brings you here?

Abubakar I came to check on both of you.. Besides I brought this police man, he’s here to get some reports on the incident.

Police man Good morning madam, I’m so sorry for what happened to you.. But I would like to know what happened last night!

.

Monica I was at home waiting for Steven to return but he didn’t, so when I got tired of waiting, I decided to ask for help so i could look for him but as I went out.. I saw his body a few meters away from the house.. I hurriedly went to check but then Two guys jumped on us, one slapped me and attempted to. to. to. (Sobs)

Police man Easy madam.. What happened after that?

Monica (sobbing) He attempted to rape me, he even pulled down his trouser. And the other one tried to finish off Steven.. I didn’t know how got the courage to fight back, I used my knee to hit the p---k of the one on top of me, as soon as he lost his grip, I escaped and took a big stone hitting it in his arm.

Seeing that I was going straight for the kill, He took off leaving his companion, as for the other one, I smashed the stone on his head.. I don’t know whether he’s not dead or not.

Police man He’s dead.. We took his body and examined it.. His skull is cracked beyond imagination and not to mention his neck which was broken as well.

Monica So what now? Are you going to arrest me?

Police man No.. What you did was justifiable after all it was self defense.. No need to worry about arrest.. What we want to know now is the other one that got away.. What can you tell me about him?

Monica I don’t know but what I do know is he’s a Hausa man.. His accent gave him away!

Police man Accent? Did he say anything?

.

Monica He shouted Waiyoo Allah as I smashed his hand with the stone!

Abubakar But anyone could say Waiyoo Allah..

Monica But he said it perfectly well like a Hausa man should.. And don’t forget, most tribes have problems pronouncing your words.

Police man Hmm, you have a point.. But please if in any way, you find out who this man is, don’t hesitate to call… Here’s my card.

Monica Okay, I will.

The policeman leaves the room after shortly afterwards leaving Monica and Abubaka alone in the room.

Abubakar Monica what you did, to save Steven, I’m so grateful and I’m so sorry.

Monica Sorry? For what?

Abubakar I was wrong about you.. I shouldn’t have misjudged you..

Monica There’s no need for you to apologize.. You’re just looking out for your friend and there’s nothing wrong about that.. I’m just glad Steven is alright..

Abubakar leaves the hospital and goes back home… Later, Elena comes to the hospital with some food and a change of clothes for Monica.

Monica thanks her for help and goes to the hospital’s bathroom to take her bath.. There was no soap or sponge, so she used the water to wash her body…

After a while, Monica comes out with wearing the clothes Elena brings for her.

Monica Thanks Elena.. I wouldn’t have known what to do without good neighbors like you and your husband!

Elena Don’t worry, I’m just glad that you and Steven are safe. The devil has been put to shame.

Monica Yes.. But who would do such a horrible thing to a nice man like Steven.. He doesn’t get into trouble with anyone..

Monica walks out slowly, and leaving Elena and Vivian alone in the room. After Elena calms Vivian down.. She begins to tell Vivian what happened last night and what Monica did.

Elena Mama if not for Monica, your son would have died.. She risked her life to save him. She even donated her blood to save him.. Here it is you can see it.

Vivian You expect me to believe me that Witch saved my son? What if she had a hand in this?

But he ignored them all and continued looking after me.. I may not remember who or where I come from.. And I know it’s not easy for you to see your son loving someone who has no background or history.. But please give me the chance to show you how much I love your son…. And I’m really sorry if I caused you any headache.

The two ladies share a warm embrace to the delight of Elena but they were soon interrupted by Uzoma, who walks in bumping Elena out of her way.. She was also chewing gum making popping sounds in her mouth.

She looks surprise as she sees Vivian and Monica hugging.

Elena who has been waiting for a chance to deal with Uzoma gets her moment, She reaches behind Uzoma and gives her an unexpected hot slap, knocking her off her balance.. Uzoma tries to lurch at Elena but she receives another stunning slap from Monica, together the two women beat the hell out of Uzoma, who screams and struggle on the cold hospital floor, The noise attracts nurses from the corridor, as they open the door of the room, Uzoma seizes the opportunity and runs off like a streak of lightening.

Nurse What’s going on here?

Elena Don’t worry, we’re showing that girl some manners.

Nurse It’s good thing you did, she was busy shouting at us downstairs before she came here… Some girls don’t have manners.

During that commotion, Steven begins to wake up, The ladies turn at his direction as they see him waking up.. Monica sits close to him to help him up coolval stories..

Vivian My son.. God thank you .

Monica Steven.. Thank goodness…

Steven Monica, is that you?

.

Monica Yes darling.. I’m here..

Steven How.. Where am I?

.

Monica Quiet now.. You need to rest..

Steven lies down on the bed.. Monica sits next him, holding his hands and rubbing his head.. Seeing that they need privacy.. Vivian and Elena leave the room.

Steven Am I in the hospital?

Monica Yes.. You’re alright now (sobbing)

Monica I’m just happy… You’re okay..
