Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 5

Adelove came up on stage and another round of applause was initiated in to the air. He cleared his throat and began: we all welcome you to this magnificent programme. The name of the programme as the host has said earlier is”MAKING OF AUTHOR”. We want to choose among the authors that will be recognised as the best in Nigeria. The overall best will be sponsored throughout his lifetime. He or she will be rewarded with 3 mansion in 3countries ,5cars, a company that he or she will manage, a private jet and to crown it all a whooping sum of 500million naira would be given out to the person. This programme will consist of 5levels. The 1st level that will begin today is what we refers to as “THE LUCKY LEVEL”. We have a ballot box that we compiled the name of all the authors that attended this programme. Nobody will go home empty handed today but only few will be choosen it all depends on their luck.

The list of all the author’s that came here today are kept on a ballot box.,’ Mr adelove paused and the ballot box was positioned at his front. It was placed on a golden table at the top where everybody can have a clear view of what was happening. We will pick 25 papers from the this ballot box and the people whose name appeared on it will be the ones who will qualify for the next level. We will begin in the next 10minutes,’ ade love said and the stage turned dark. Everybody began to pray. Onihaxy had to forget about the lady for the mean time as everybody was involved in a serious prayer section. 10minutes came so fast and the stage lit up making most authors to be scared. Chorus heart was beating than the normal rate. Adelove weared a golden hand gloves this time and climbed up to where the ballot box was positioned. Please if you name is called you should come out to the front here (adelove said, pointing at an empty space at the front of the stage. I will pick a paper and call the name on it serially till i get to 25 then i will stop because thats the number of writers we want. So i shall begin now( adelove said and immediately the atmosphere became more hotter) beats of heartbeats were heard and the place became as silent as a graveyard. Ade love picked the first paper and begun calling the names:

adelove stopped here probably searching for the last paper that he will call. Chorus was already up with prayers. It Will be shameful for him because all his friend were called. Oh God please just help me this once,’ chorus prayed silently and adelove hummed probably because he had picked a paper at last. Uhmmm ladies and gentlemen the last author we have here is.

A thunderous round of applause began flowing around the place. Some unchoosed authors were welled up with rage and fury. With anger and frustrations. while some were happy for the choosen ones. The authors that were choosen lined up facing the crowd. They were all smiling except chorus who knelt down probably Thanking God for not dissapointing him. Onihaxy smiled also, the fact the had been choosen is not only his happiness but the fact that the lady he had been starring at is also among the lucky people. He waived at mercy nnamdi who replied him with a smiling gesture that sent shiver around his spine. All the choosen authors were given the microphone and they all spoke to the crowd. Their speech was full of appreciation to God. After they had all spoken, adelove collected the microphone and spoke to everybody. “MANY HAD BEEN CALLED BUT FEW WERE CHOOSEN” lets wish them goodluck and please nobody should take this in a negative way. I believe we all have our chances. That you were not among the lucky people doesnt signify that you will never make it in life. LIFE IS FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES, JUST WAIT FOR YOUR OWN TIME”, adelove concluded and a round of applause was initiated again. And adelove continued. We are through with 1st level. Now we will continue from the second level. Everybody is still allowed to come but only today winners will proceed further. The next level will be “A grouping level and it will be commencing next week Saturday. REMEMBER, EVERYONE IS STILL INVITED,’ adelove said and kept up the microphone down then a music was played to cool the atmosphere. It was a music named “THE POWER” by Justin beibers and William. Most people started going out because the programme had ended. Onihaxy later collected mercy nnamdi number with the help of Joseph Daniel before going home.
