Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 6

‘My mom is dead’ I said with narrow eyes. ‘That’s what you think’ he replied.

‘Don’t try playing tricks’

‘If you don’t believe, then check this out’ he said then pointed to a screen. The screen displayed a woman who was unconscious and had an oxygen mask. She had several thick wires attached to different parts of body. The camera then zoomed on her face. ”My gosh, that’s mum” I said with teary eyes. I still have a family. I was able to recognize her because my dad has tons of pictures of her. He always showed me her pictures especially when it was her birthday and their anniversary.

‘How did you resuscitate her’ I asked in a gentle voice.

”She actually resuscitated herself we just helped in keeping her alive till this day” He replied. ‘What do you mean she resuscitated herself’ I asked with arched eyebrows.

”Well when she got electrified when she was pregnant, she died. But due to the electric shock she experienced she also got electric powers so the electricity running through her restarted her heart”

”So how did you find her and why is she not conscious?”I asked with a don’t dare lie look

He sighed ”well she was not able to trigger her brain herself and we cant do it for her, only her can do it for herself. So we have kept her on a life machine for the past sixteen years”

”But what her does wires connected to her for” I asked already guessing what it is for. He didn’t reply.

” Let me guess, you have been using her electric powers for your selfish purposes”

”Call it whatever you want” he snapped back. ”You should first thank us for keeping her alive”

”Why should I thank you when you have been using her” i replied with an angry face.

” I am not having this discussion with you. And if you don’t give us what we want we we will take her off the life machine I am sure you know what that means.” He said straightening the frame of his glasses.

” But why did you not use her own electric powers to power your dumb machine ” I asked.

” She doesn’t have even up to half of what we need adding to the fact that she is not conscious ”. He replied. ” I give you the rest of the day to think ” he said then walked away. When it was night time all the other scientists had left and I was left alone. I reminisced on all the man said. I don’t even know where they want to use the machine on and if it worth saving my mum. They kept the light in the room on so that they can monitor me through the surveillance cameras hanging on all corners of the lab. How do they even expect me to escape from this. I took a glance around and my sight caught a switch. It was surely the switch to release the water I was put in. But how I am going to get to the switch. My hands were tied to the other direction so I can’t even use my electrokinesis on it. My father’s words suddenly rang in my head. ”I can control it with my mind”. I have never tried it before but I gotta do it now. I focused my mind on the switch to switch it off but it didn’t work. After a whole thirty minutes of trying it still didn’t work. An idea struck my mind. I struggled to lift my cuffed hands from the back to above my hand then to my front. I then lifted my hands above the water level and then turned off the switch.

Immediately spaces below my foot opened and the water escaped through. I immediately burnt the cuffs and chains on my hands and legs respectively. I quickly tore the cameras from the walls through kinesis so has to give time to escape. I sent bolts of electricity to the glass but it didn’t even scratch it. What!!!!!! Howcome I kept trying and trying. What kind of glass is this. I heard claps getting closer and then I saw the same man that we spoke earlier clapping with a broad smile on his face.

”Don’t disturb your self boy that glass is unbreakable ” he said with an evil smirk and his hands going to his pocket. He brought out a key. ” This only can open it ” he said raising the key a little bit above his shoulder.

” Then you shall open it for me ” I said with a mischievous smirk and rubbing the tips of my fingers.

” Why would I ?”

” Watch ”

I raised up two fingers and focused on directing the hand holding the key to the key hole.

” What’s happening!!!????” ”Hey stop this” ” Help help he……”

I sparked his head before he could complete the last help. I got out and triggered his heart and Brain cause I needed an in formation. I held him by the collar and asked which room my mum was.

”Speak up or u knock at hells gate”

”Its the ER room” he stuttered upon hearing hells gate. Like for real there is An ER room in here.

”Thanks” I said and left him. As I got to the door I turned to him.

”On second thoughts help me greet the devil” I threw a ball of electricity on his head.

I sneaked around avoiding all surveillance cameras. Finally I got to the ER door. I breathed in and out then push opened the door. I entered and saw a black and beautiful lady with scattered hair. She looked both strong and vulnerable. I walked towards her and felt a connection between both of us. Tears tricked down my cheeks as I looked at her face and realized it was my mom. I sat on the side of the bed and held her hands. Immediately my hands came in contact with hers there was a spark. I withdrew my hands and tried it again and the spark happened again. I really looked a lot like her. I removed the oxygen mask from her face and placed my index fingers on the sides if her head. I sent a slight bolt of electricity hoping it will trigger her brain hoping she will regain consciousness…..
