I arrived a little bit late because of traffic and I quickly find my way to their dinning table. I bet her parents don’t know anything they are still treating me like before. We started eating and her mother told me she envy me that I have a loving husband and a perfect marriage but I just ignore her and I watch my husband enjoy the compliment.

I pass the present to favour and she open it and found the beautiful baby dress. “ ma’am I don’t have a perfect marriage nor a loving husband ” I started and that attract a gasp from both my husband and favour. First surprise from the baby dress and second one from my statement.

“ what do you mean? ” her mother asked trying to hide her shock. Well I just smirked I haven’t say anything.

“ Dear Favour it’s like your parents don’t know anything yet? Why are you keeping it a secret? Having a baby is good thing actually. You know I don’t have one ” I said turning my burning gaze to her and she shift involuntarily on her chair.

“ baby? ” her mother gasped.

“ what do you mean? ” her father asked contributing to our conversation for the first time. “ she must have been stressed out lately Bolanle what are you saying? ” my husband try to come to the rescue but I ignore him totally I’m throwing the bombshell and I will make sure everyone knows when it explode.

“ your daughter here is having an affair with my husband and he got her pregnant that’s what I’m saying ” I threw the bomb and watch it explode on everybody while I sip my wine in peace. From the corner of my eyes I watch their expressions from my husband to her father then mother then her.

“ what nonsense are you saying? ” my husband is the first to come out of his shock and he almost yell out the words.

“ is it true? ” her father asked forwarding the question to favour who has started shedding tears she couldn’t deny it and I don’t give a d--n. Her mother was speechless nobody expect it.

“ stop pretending and say the truth for once! For once in your life Olakanmi! ” I yelled at him slamming my spoon on the table. “ is this some kind of fun to you? ” he asked with frustration clearly written on his face.

“ I should be asking you that Honourable Olakanmi ” I fired back with utmost anger. “ I won’t tell you not to marry her it’s your choice at least she is carrying your child stop hiding for once in your life and take responsibility for your actions. I didn’t open her legs for you did I? ” I said and I could see favour bend her head low trying not to break down in shame.

“ you should be thankful I did the basic introduction for you Kanmi because I’m sure you will just make her a baby mama against the wish of her parents ” I grab my handbag and I stand up taking my Jacket too.

“ I’m sorry ” I said before leaving them to solve whatever remains between all of them. I start my car and I head straight to the house. After taking my shower I heard my husband’s car pull up in the garage. Well I’ve already did what the devil sent me if I perish I perish.

“ Bolanle! Bolanle!! Bolanle!!! ” I heard him call my name as if I kind of faint well I don’t care. He barged into the room as if he is an hired assassin breathing really hard.

“ how may I help you? ” I said dropping the bottle of my face cleanser on the table. I raised my eyebrow and and place my hands on my waist.

“ do you have to make a scene? Do you have to ruin everything?! Do you?! Why are you so wicked?! ” he shouted and I think my ears might really block if I don’t quickly cover.

“ ogbeni don’t shout on me! Abeg I’m wicked? You should ask yourself who is wicked between us? ”

“ just because I made a mistake you can’t even for.. ”

“ shut up! Just shut up! I don’t want to hear anything from you again Kanmi I don’t. Mistake? Seriously you made a mistake? You made me a sudden celibate here while you were f-----g around you made a mistake? I’m here trying to look for some sort of miracle so I will have children but there is my husband Making babies with other women out there and you expect me to stay still? Hey come on you don’t have to get angry I only help you to do some little introduction there so when are you bringing your wife home? ” I asked sarcastically and he slapped me twice.

“ well thanks if you think that’s what I deserve ” I said after receiving the slaps.

“ I won’t forgive you ” he said

“ I won’t also Kanmi you are nothing but a beast from the pit of hell you are not even worthy of being called a man. Is this the Forever you promised me?! Answer me?! Is this what you told me at the alter?! Answer you this ungrateful idiot ” I yelled on top of my voice but that only made him angry and he started dishing out punches on several part of my body. I try to run but he grabbed me and punch me on my gut I felt my breath hitch in my throat and I tasted my blood another one landed on my forehead but before he could do another justice I manage to kick him and run downstairs.

“ Bolanle come out! Now! And let me show you how a beast behaves ” he said opening the kitchen door which I try to lock with all my might. He grabbed me again with my hair he pulled it and I felt my veins boil. I dig my nails into his hands till he release my hair but he went for my neck choking me I cough several but the beast won’t let me go.

Maybe he thought I will soon lose my life and he doesn’t want to become a murderer he fling me to left and I land on the wooden shelve lying at a corner. I hit my head in the wall and my vision became blurry I must not die not now if I die that means I lost.
